Guests will engage with locals and learn about the area’s history. The guided tour down The Great River on a 30-foot bamboo raft accommodates up to two people. The Great River is a primary water source for Montego Bay and nearby communities. Learn about healing herbs, ferns, and local culture. Sample jelly coconut and sugar cane. Local cuisine is available at a local cook shop (hole in the wall) for an additional cost (optional), with a menu typically featuring curried goat, pork, fried, curried, brown stew chicken, and oxtails. The rafting experience lasts 60-90 minutes, with groups opting for multiple full body massages extending the time to 90-120 minutes. All rafting concludes at the starting point, except in cases of high river conditions.
