- Liabygda Ringsetskiftet - 10. ViewPoint by the sea. As we head to the ViewPoint by the sea, we pass the historic Rose Church in Stordal, constructed in 1789. Another stunning ViewPoint is near Liabygda. To the left, observe a salmon fish farm, and to the right, the town of Stranda, home to the Grandiosa pizza factory. Across the fjord, the waterway leads to Geiranger and Hellesylt. On the mountain to the left, you can spot the mountain farm Skrednakken, visited by Norwegian Queen Sonja some years ago. Remember to capture some beautiful photos.
- Gudbrandsjuvet - 20. Gudbrandsjuvet is a river gorge in the Valldøla river. The river flows dynamically between gorges and mountain crevices, meeting at unexpected angles before passing under the bridge and cascading further down the valley. The gorge is partly shaped by several large potholes. This water feature is a popular tourist attraction, with platforms and bridges crafted from a mix of glass and rusted iron in both walls and floors. A cafeteria and free toilets are available here. Don’t miss their delicious Salmon baguette!
- Krikebrua - 25. The old bridge at Krikebrua is a marvel of nature! This is one of the most remarkable stops on our journey. We pause at a small area with free toilets and benches for resting. We then hike together for about 3 to 4 minutes across the road to see an old bridge (constructed in 1891) and a stunning waterfall and river above. The bridge is made entirely of rocks, with no concrete or steel in its construction. Please use the bins on the bus for your trash.
- Trollstigen - 30. Trollstigen ViewPoints is the highlight of our trip. There are two ViewPoints available; one is a 5-minute walk, and the other, the best one, is a 10-minute walk from the bus. The path to these viewpoints is paved with concrete and has sturdy safety fences. A souvenir shop and free toilets are available at Trollstigen. A cafeteria offers sandwiches, coffee, and soft ice cream, along with hot meals.
- Trollstigen foothill viewpoint - 35. We descend from Trollstigen towards Trollstigen Gjestegård, stopping for photos after Stigfoss. This stop is available from July 15, 2025.
- Trollstigen Drift As - 40. This is the final stop on our journey. Trollstigen Gjestegård features a large souvenir shop and a cafeteria. Restrooms are also available.

Trollstigen from Alesund - Wonderful excursion with small group and very knowledgeable local guide. Well timed stops and incredible scenery along the way. The highlight was the view from Trollstigen. Stunningly beautiful - not to be missed!
Normally this tour leaves at 9:00 am but our Hurtigruten cruise was not arriving in Alesund until 9:45. Local Trips accommodated our schedule and added a 10:00 am departure. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, organized tour! - One of the most organized tours we have ever taken. Love that they give you a book that shows you were you are going and also has which stops you can find a bathroom (WC-water closet) at. The stops all were breathtaking and I felt like the pace of the tour was timed just right. Our driver was Morton and he was courteous and a safe driver. We definitely recommend this tour.

Great Tour for Cruise Ship Travelers - Trond was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Gave us plenty of time at the stops to see the amazing scenery. Small group van was very comfortable and clean. Picnic lunch was good. Our cruise ship changed times and tour adjusted to the new schedule with no problems. We got a little rain on the tour but they had umbrellas if you needed to borrow one. Picked us up at the dock and got us back with plenty of time to spare. Overall a great tour.

Go to Trollsteigen! - Great trip. The road had just reopened and, of course, some more rocks fell and it was closed so we didn't get to drive down the bottom and have a look see. On the bright side, the visitor center is at the top. There are shops, food and restrooms. You can take off your shoes and wade around in the stream above the falls. Definitely take the trail out to far viewpoint for a great view of the valley below. I was told that driving down takes awhile and if rocks fall or a car has issues it slows way down and you may be stuck there for a long time. That would be worse for me. The stops along the way were fun and had some nice views but trollsteigen is the jewel.
