Nice cities, tour not worth $$ - We booked this tour to visit Honfleur and Deauville from Le Havre. After this tour, I would suggest visiting both cities but think you could do it with only a driver and not a guide as well. It was not worth $1600. Our driver, Seydou, was kind, professional, efficient, and safe. The car was clean and cool and included free water. Our tour guide, Polly, seemed unprepared, scattered, and not excited about the cities in our tour. We did not feel that she was an expert or well-informed on the cities. She asked what we wanted to do/see, and seemed flustered when we said we would rely on her to guide us. We booked a private tour so that they would guide us and show us the best parts of the city, but instead Polly asked every 30 or so minutes what we wanted to do next. She gave us some interesting information along the way, but not as much as you would expect from a tour guide. We gave her a 90min break while we were in Deauville because she couldn’t figure out where to take us, so we independently walked around and shopped. She was complaining about how crowded the city was (due to the horse race/auction) and couldn’t believe we wanted to visit Deauville. It was challenging to find our tour guide at first because she didn’t bring a sign with our name written on it (as previously indicated); instead, she messaged via WhatsApp on what she was wearing (we were not informed of communicating with driver/guide on WhatsApp until the day before and were unable to download the app due to weak wifi). We were instructed to bring an umbrella/rain jacket but they did not suggest we bring anything else, and wish we would have had bathing suits for Deauville. There were a few places Polly tried to take us that required passports, which we were also not instructed to bring.
