Sunset Tour. Five stars. - We are a group of 8 friends visiting Mendoza from the United States. We had an amazing time with Gaucho Estates on the sunset horseback ride.

Amazing! - Highly recommend! The trek along the mountains was gentle and beautiful. I had never ridden a horse before but they were great and kind teachers and I felt comfortable on the horse. The horses were calm and the ride was very peaceful. The dinner and then singing around the campfire at night was a great touch and felt very special.

Mendoza Trip Highlight! 5 Stars! - This was such a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to everyone traveling in Mendoza! We were so impressed by the care and hospitality from Diego and the gauchos in this experience. They clearly take great care of the horses, and the evening dinner with a surprise singalong / guitar hangout by the fire was such a highlight. The terrain was beautiful and the 2 hours riding was the perfect amount of time to see the valley. Thank you to Diego and team for being a highlight of our trip!

Excellent horses and they cater the ride to your ability. Delicious BBQ. - We LOVED our ride with Gauco Estate. We booked last minute and had very responsive correspondence over WhatsApp. Diego was clearly very proud of his horses and was telling us all about them. Most importantly for us, they catered to the riding capability of the group, and we were able to do some faster riding away from the main group with more spirited horses as we have riding experience. Those with less/no experience still seemed to have a safe, fun ride in the larger group. All the team were very friendly and helpful, with a great BBQ and gaucho style serenade at the end of the day. It was nice to get a little taste of the gaucho culture and the set up is very sociable for you and other guests. Exceeded our expectations!!

Such an incredible experience!! I would go back in a heart beat - This was one of the highlights of my trip to Mendoza. Even though it rained the entire day, I wouldn’t change a thing — it made the experience even more memorable.
Diego picked us up from our accommodation and brought us out to the ranch where we spent the afternoon riding horses through the countryside in the rain. When we returned, we had an incredible lunch with so much amazing food — different meats, eggplant, tomatoes, fresh bread, and plenty of wine. Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Argentina, and I’ve eaten at several Michelin-star restaurants.
Diego and his team worked so hard but also made everything so fun and welcoming. We drank wine, laughed, danced together, and Diego even sang (which he might not tell you beforehand, but he’s great!).
At the end of the day he dropped us back off at our place, making everything seamless and easy.
I loved this experience so much that when my friend arrived later that same day, I told her she had to book it for the next day.
If you’re visiting Mendoza, don’t miss this. Truly unforgettable.

Magic Under the Stars, Exceptional Horses, and Incredible Value - Wow — this was a truly magical experience and worth every penny. Gaucho Estate is just a short drive outside the city (with transportation included), yet it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. Tucked back in the hills, the evening ride offers breathtaking sunset views.
The horses were calm, well-trained, and clearly very well cared for — suitable for riders of all levels. (As someone who rode competitively, I pay close attention to horse quality and welfare, and I was genuinely impressed. That’s not always the case with tourist riding experiences.)
The included asado dinner was delicious, and the evening only grew more special from there. After dinner, we sipped wine under the stars by the fire while fireflies twinkled around us. Our gaucho hosts brought out a guitar and drum and sang local folk songs, creating an intimate, unforgettable atmosphere.
You can tell they truly love what they do — and it shows in every detail. I cannot recommend this experience enough. 10/10.

Amazing Sunset Horseback Ride & BBQ in Mendoza - We had such a great time on the sunset horseback ride at Gaucho Estate. It’s only about 20 minutes from Mendoza city, but once you’re there it feels completely remote, with amazing mountain views the whole way. It also included pickup and drop off at my hotel which made travel simple. The group was small and relaxed, and the local gauchos (cowboys) were welcoming and knowledgeable, which made the experience feel very authentic. After about two hours of riding, we sat down to a delicious barbecue with vegetables and plenty of Malbec to enjoy. Nothing felt rushed or touristy - just a really memorable experience. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Mendoza and can squeeze a nice sunset ride and meal. Note - the horse back riding is a bit more intermediate.

A great experience on horseback with a delicious lunch - Trip re-arranged from sunset to following morning due to bad weather, but so glad we went, even though very hot!
Just 4 of us on the tour with an experienced guide who matched our horses to us and made sure along the two hour route that we were all ok. Great way to see the mountain terrain and my horse was very calm and didn’t need much guiding from me.
Delicious BBQ lunch once we got back to the ranch and transfer back into the city.

A bit too much for a beginner - Diego and all the staff at gaucho estate were super friendly and the bbq and music playing around the campfire was really amazing. It was generally a well organised trip. The horse riding for me however as a real beginner was a bit too tricky on the rocky paths and I would have preferred if they gave us helmets. I found the group size a bit too big to feel like I could get lots of close help with my horse when needed.

Disappointed in late communication. - We booked this activity and the afternoon of it we got a message from the host asking if we’d like to move the reservation to the next day as we were their only reservations. When we explained that we could not due to other commitments, we were then told that the trails might be too muddy to use as there was rain in that area (though just a quick sprinkle in Mendoza downtown) the day before. Then we received a final message 15 minutes before pick up time that the activity had to be cancelled and would we like to reschedule.
