- Santiago - This free adventure allows you to hop off at any stop you choose, with the Big Bus operating from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Parque Arauco - The first stop of our Hop On Hop Off tour is next to Mall Parque Arauco, one of the most significant shopping centers in Chile and Latin America. Opened in 1982, it was the country’s first mall to combine large stores and entertainment. Today, it offers a wide variety of dining and fun, featuring numerous national and international products and stores, including a Luxury District with brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Dior.
- Parque Bicentenario - The second stop is at the beautiful Bicentenario Park in the Vitacura commune, the largest green space in this area, stretching along the southern bank of the Mapocho River. Spanning 27 hectares, it features diverse landscapes, play areas, statues, sports zones, lagoons, and more. The best way to explore it is by walking its paths and visiting its two lagoons, home to black-necked swans, flamingos, herons, and fish.
- Parque Metropolitano de Santiago - Parquemet - The third stop is the Santiago Cable Car, offering the best panoramic view of the capital. We arrive at the initial station, “Oasis Station,” via the main access of Pedro de Valdivia. The cable car provides stunning 360º views of the city and the majestic Andes Mountains, surrounded by nature and native Chilean species. Named Santiago’s top attraction, the cable car takes us to the summit of San Cristóbal Hill at “Summit Station,” where the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception statue is located at Terrace Bellavista, known for its city views and the classic “Motes con huesillo” drink, perfect for refreshing your walk.
- Parque Metropolitano de Santiago - Parquemet - The fourth stop is the Funicular, located in Parquemet, the largest green lung in Santiago and Latin America, also known as “Cerro San Cristóbal.” Declared a Historical Monument in 2000 for its complex cable transportation system and heritage value, the Funicular’s entrance at Pío Nono is a grand neoclassical castle designed by renowned architect Luciano Kulczewski. The recently remodeled cars ascend about 500 meters up the hill to the summit of San Cristóbal. It also has an intermediate station that reaches the National Zoo, with the next stop being “Cumbre Station,” where we can connect with Terrace Bellavista, the Virgin’s Sanctuary, and the Cable Car.
- Plaza de Armas - The fifth stop is Plaza de Armas, the historic heart of Santiago and considered kilometer 0. This captivating space blends colonial architecture with the vibrant energy of urban life. Surrounded by the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral and colorful buildings like the “Post Office,” the “Municipality of Santiago,” and the “National History Museum,” the square is a cultural hub where history, local crafts, and the lively city atmosphere converge.
- Plaza de La Constitucion - The sixth stop is Plaza de la Constitución, located in Santiago’s Civic Neighborhood. Around the square are some of the most beautiful and significant buildings and monuments related to Chile’s executive power, including statues of important national political figures: Diego Portales, Pedro Aguirre Cerda, Jorge Alessandri, Eduardo Frei Montalva, and Salvador Allende. The main attraction is the Palacio de la Moneda, the presidential headquarters, next to the La Moneda Cultural Center, which hosts various art exhibitions. Nearby are the Metropolitan Municipality, the Santiago Stock Exchange, Union Club, University of Chile, Paseo Bulnes, and Barrio Dieciocho.
- Cerro Santa Lucia - The seventh stop is Cerro Santa Lucía, a significant site since Santiago’s founding on February 12, 1541. The hill’s monumental neoclassical entrance, completed in 1902, features a sculpture of the God Neptune, surrounded by an architectural ensemble of curved staircases, pools, a large terrace, and a triumphal arch topped by a dome. Besides the hill’s architecture and panoramic views, nearby attractions include the National Library, Barrio Paris-London, Saint Francis Church, the Central House of the Catholic University, the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM), and the Lastarria Neighborhood, filled with art galleries, restaurants, bookstores, crafts, and more.
- Providencia - The eighth stop is in Providencia at Plaza de la Aviación, an extension of Balmaceda Park. Named in honor of the Chilean Air Force monument erected in 1980, it also features the Bicentenario water fountain, which is nearly 70 meters long and over 25 meters wide. The park borders the Mapocho River, and you can also stroll along Avenida Providencia, a lively tourist area with various shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Nearby is Barrio Italia, a gastronomic hub known for its diverse international cuisine.
- Costanera Center - The ninth stop is the Costanera Center, the tallest building in Latin America at 300 meters high. This tower combines modernity and entertainment, becoming a major tourist spot in Santiago. It houses one of the most modern malls, with hundreds of stores for clothing, technology, sports, cinema, and entertainment, along with a wide culinary selection. Additionally, it has a terrace and an observation deck called Sky Costanera, offering privileged views of the city.
- Barrio El Golf - The tenth stop blends modernity and gastronomy in the heart of Barrio El Golf, Las Condes. Featuring mid-20th-century architecture from wealthy families of the time, such as Isidora Goyenechea, the namesake of the main street, this stop offers national and international restaurants and cafes, as well as attractions like Plaza Perú, the Municipal Theater of Las Condes, and the Las Condes Interactive Museum. The museum offers entertaining 3D audiovisual productions, making it an ideal family outing.
