Best choice for first hiking tour - Even though it was high up and exhausting, the tour was so worth it! Thanks to the very experienced and great guides, you learn all kinds of things about the country, its people, culture and nature. You are rewarded with the greatest variety of views and get to know a diverse and breathtaking landscape. Frank and Sebastian looked after all of us in the group very well. The camps and the food were great. The chef, sous-chef and our porters did a great job. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful experience and for the motivation and patience for me as a newbie hiker! I absolutely recommend TreXperience!

Fking amazing for 1st time high altitude hike - Our guide is Manola is a knowledgeable and responsible person. He speaks about intriguing Andean history alone the trip and his narratives are wonderful. I had bad headache and fatigue alone the trek due to altitude sickness, and he protected and supported me with extreme care. I felt challenging but safe. The views alone the trek are gorgeous, look at the pictures. The two camp sites are fking great. It was like in lord of the rings and I was an archer taking an adventure. I even want to do it again just to sleep there. The chefs! Dude I don’t know how they are doing it, but everyday every meal they make different delicious food, it was always more than we can take so we and not hungry at all, and they are indeed delicious. Was my wife’s birthday and they even made cake for her! Very impressive to bake a cake up in the mountain at a camp site. Great experience overall, strong recommendation. You should require Manola and his team to guide you.

A beautiful tour with wonderful people - Incredible!! Our guide Filio was awesome and super knowledgeable and engaging. The trek felt equal parts cultural and scenic which was the perfect mix, and overall very fun. The lares trek is lovely as it is much less touristic and the landscapes are beautiful. 10/10 to Filio and the team!

Great tour of the Andes of Peru. - The whole tour was wonderfully organized. Our guide Filio and the team took great care of us the entire time. Since February is the rainy season, we were all alone on the trek. In advance we received ponchos and overcoats for the backpacks, but it rained just a little every day. The typical Peruvian food that the team prepared 3 times a day fresh for us was very delicious and super varied. Thanks to our guide Filio!

Crossing the Andes in style - The views were great. Filio, our guide, and Zenobio and Beto, our chefs, were fun and professional. The chefs somehow baked a birthday cake on the trail for my fiancee. Filio's history lessons were a little hard to understand sometimes due to his functional-but-limited English vocabulary, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the local culture, geography, and animal and plant life. February doesn't have the best reputation as a month for Andean trekking, but if you're willing to get rained (and maybe hailed) on, there are lovely, misty (or "mystic," as Filio would say) mountain views around every corner. The rate we paid was a steal for the guided trek plus the expensive Machu Picchu experience.

Lares Trek February 2025 - Was an amazing trek and experience all together.Incredible food from the chef Senovio Beto for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Filio the guide was perfect with great humour and knowledge of all the different trails and Incan history. Also Filio has many years of experience and is medically capable if you are ill, or have altitude sickness. Always made sure everyone was alright and as dry and safe as possible!
