Easy boat and kayak trip also suitable for families with young kids - We went with our 2 year old boy on the fun boat trip and kayak tour in Langkawi Kilin Geopark and had a wonderful trip with Sham. He took perfect care of us and showed and explained us many interesting things in the mangrove forest. Higly recommended!

Sham was a brilliant guide, so knowledgeable and passionate, we learnt loads. the mangroves were beautiful and it was great kayaking through them. lunch was delicious also. it was great value for money as we also saw the bat cave and the tour was longer than expected. thank you, Sham! definitely book this tour.

Unforgettable experience - We had an incredible experience on this eco-friendly kayak tour through the mangroves of Langkawi! Our guides, Sham and Nina, were both very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They shared fascinating insights about the ecosystem, making the trip both educational and fun. The small group size made the experience even better, allowing us to fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We spotted amazing wildlife, including kingfishers and majestic eagles—truly a unique and unforgettable sight! The tour was well-organized, and even as beginners, we found kayaking super easy and enjoyable. The food was fantastic, adding a perfect touch to an already amazing day. Great experience - We booked a boat and kayak mangrove tour through GetYourGuide. The details were immediately communicated to us via WhatsApp. Under Guide was Nina. Nina was very nice and warm and gave us a beautiful tour of the mangroves on Langkawi. In the bat cave we were able to observe the sleeping field mice and Nina explained the animals and their behaviour in best English. Afterwards we watched the eagles eating and visited Corcodile Cave. After a good lunch in the floating restaurant we went kayaking. We paddled through narrow beautiful canals in the middle of the mangroves. We were introduced to the native animal species. Nina also took and sent very nice photos of us. We can highly recommend this tour.

Excellent morning with Sham - Had a fantastic time with Langkawi Eco Ventures and cannot recommend them enough! Our guide Sham was all in all everything you want in a guide: super fun, engaging, knowledgeable and well prepared. Overall did not know what to expect when booking the experience but came away feeling fulfilled by a good morning of learning! We started the day around 10am (there were clear instructions on how to meet the guide). We gathered and first took a boat to a floating platform which turned out to be a restaurant. There we already got the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the marine life in the geoforest park, including horseshoe crabs and stingrays. After that we grabbed our gear, hats and water prepared by the guide, and explored the mangroves on kayak over a good 2-3 hours. The time absolutely flew by and while it may sound like a long time, we had ample rest stops where Sham shared his experience and answered our questions about the mangroves. By the end of the morning we had seen different types of marine life, learnt about the local monkeys, and saw several eagles! Around 1:30pm we had the opportunity to share lunch with the new friends made and even got lucky and snuck a visit to the Bat Cave nearby before we ended! The guide, boatmen and other members of the group were really friendly and outgoing. Would really recommend this company to go with, if you’re looking to do something to learn more about the natural environment in Langkawi and get some exercise in the meantime! Apply lots of sunscreen and wear clothes you don’t mind getting just a little splashes on.

Experience not to be missed in Langkawi - Crazy experience, starting with the Sham service and guide, very cute! The Kayak tour was very interesting, both from a natural and cultural point of view, with all the necessary explanations, not only of the plants, but also of all the creatures that live in the area, such as crabs, eagles, monkeys, bats, shrimps, Lobsters and many others. An experience not to be missed if you are in Langkawi!

Great Tour Guide Who Knows the Mangrove Well - There were a number of tours offering mangrove kayak experiences on various travel websites, but I ultimately went with Sham's mangrove kayaking experience as it was the only package that allowed bookings for solo travellers. I was excited for the tour after seeing multiple positive reviews, and Sham indeed delivered. I joined a small tour group as part of the tour, and the guide made the experience entertaining by bringing us to places of interests around the mangrove, while introducing the flora and fauna in a jovial manner. What impressed me was Sham's extensive knowledge of the mangrove and its history, his attention to safety along the mangrove waters where fast-moving boats are a constant, and his ability to make solo participants like me feel included. Would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
