Lovely way to spend a morning - My family of my wife, two 6 year old boys and I were split into two couples on two separate bamboo rafts and taken on a loop around the waterways near Khao Lak. We saw some large waterbirds and even some monitor lizards, who are virtually invisible until you hear them making a racket trying to get away. It was a real pleasure being so close to the level of the water and really felt like you might come across something undiscovered round every bend. We then went to the turtle sanctuary where we saw hundreds of rescued green turtles of every shape, size and age being looked after and were given a short reminder by our fine tour guide of the tsunami disaster in 2004 complete with a army boat that had been pushed inland. Finally, a stop at the gorgeous waterfall which felt like a real oasis from the hustle and bustle, where we could all hop in and enjoy a refreshing dip.

Well worth doing - We had a great time. Longer raft ride than I expected, well run, watch out for the snakes! The turtles sanctuary was a good visit, great work 👍🏻

Pleasant relaxation and discovery nature. - Easy booking on the tripadvisor website and very professional on-site pickup at our hotel. Apart from the fact that the accompaniment is in English it is however quite doable with the kindness of the guide who made us some translations by google. So it was a super pleasant morning with a visit to the turtle care center then a small waterfall and to finish the rafting in a nice setting. We were immersed in the serenity of the local flora and fauna where we could see, however, thanks to our kind perchman of the raft, several snakes, along the route, peacefully asleep and distant high in the bamboos.

Really relaxing but sadly, very little wildlife - Lovely relaxing trip. The team looking after us were really friendly. We’d hoped to see lots of wildlife and have the flora explained but unfortunately we only saw 2 snakes…no fish and very little wildlife. The water level was low so the guys had to work hard to keep the raft moving. Overall, it’s a really nice experience if you just want to sit back and relax

River raft trip was lovely. We saw lots of wildlife including snakes , monkeys and lizards. - The trip was very good. It was nice to see some of the local area. The bamboo raft guides knew how to find the local wildlife

Different experience - Nice walk down the river. Bath pants are recommended as the water sometimes goes over your seating space and waterproof bag. There was a lack of information on the different turtles in the basins as age. It's fascinating to see turtles on such close hold that a lot of work is being done for the stock.

Nice rafting, sea turtles good, waterfall waste of time - The trip was not bad, but not fantastic either. The rafting was nice and relaxing, but nothing much to see in or around the river. The turtle farm was ok. It’s great to know that the turtles are taken care of and that the survival rate increases immensely. However, there was not much information and no staff to ask. Our tour guide was great, though! He knew a lot and was also very good in English. Thumbs up for him! The waterfall was really a waste of time and should be removed from the trip. Very small and no place to stand and watch it. All in all, an ok trip, but not more than that.

Private excursion - We booked a private guide tour with English spoken guide. Our driver/guide spoke very little English, drove to the different places we were going to and dropped us off. No information was given to us as you were there were other people who could help us. Lena o Stefan

A bit meh!! - I had limited expectations for this excursion. We arrived at the bamboo rafting area and it was all very rushed. I was hoping that the guides would be pointing out wildlife or give us some information about anything, but it felt like our guide in particular was either a bit hungover or just didn't want to be there. Stopped the raft to take phone calls etc it was bizarre. The turtle sanctuary was decent. Learned some things on the tour from the guide. Waterfall was a bit of a waste of time to be honest. In summer when water levels are low. It seems pointless to take people there.
