Like swimming in starlight ✨ - This was an incredible experience! Well worth it! We started at a sand bar watching the sun set where we got to swim in warm beautiful water. I wished we had brought snorkel masks to look into the water. There were tarpon feeding in the area and fish jumping. We got to walk thru the water to a mangrove island from the boat and explore that environment and watch the sun set. After we got back to the boat our darling guide Ryan, took us to the bio bay. He was knowledgeable and fun and taught us why we can swim there without hurting the glowing organisms. The air changed and the smells as we entered the bio bay. We were given floaties and then into the magic water. I understand it was not as bright as it can be-but we didn’t know the difference and for our family of 6 it was pure magic! It is a natural glow, not a neon glow and it was incredible to see the water light up in response to your movements. Unexpectedly we could see individual sparkles on our swim shirts and it looked like you were covered in your own galaxy of starlight!!! The wonder and awe, squeals of delight, look at this, watch this etc. of the whole experience were altogether one of my favorite family memories. My son who wants to be an astronaut looked at the stars and looked at the water and said ‘mom, it’s like we’re swimming in the stars’ ✨ Unforgettable!!! Great experience at sunset and in the dark - Excellent experience with sunset swim at a sandbar location and then night swim in rhe biobay. Great guide (Adriana) and captain (Foil). Water was super warm in the bay and the glow was very cool. Bonus benefit was the swim with tarpon fish at the sandbar.

Great experience - Bio bay was awesome- we got to swim at the sunset watching area and then again in the bio bay. I felt like we had ample time at each spot to enjoy the experience.

Families first time. - Definitely bring snorkeling gear for the first part of the trip if you’re doing the earlier time. The water was great. Super clear. The kids swam with huge fish. Our guides were very cool. Told us some history of the buildings we pasted by. They also had great tips for the bio bay. It was a great trip. Would highly recommend.

An Incredible Night in the Bio Bay - It was incredible, I HIGHLY recommend doing the sunset tour! I was on a boat with Captain Ryan, a friend, and a small family of four and we just had a blast. When the sun was about to set, I asked Captain Ryan if he could move our boat so we could get an unobstructed view of the sunset and he said, "Of course!" Would definitely recommend going with Captain Ryan if you can and I would go again and swim in the incredible bioluminescent bay in a heartbeat!

Did not disappoint! - Hubby and I were pleased with trip. Clouds hampered the sunset, but the bioluminescence experience was wonderful. Would recommend!

Unforgettable! - On a small boat captained by the skilled and personable Ryan, we sailed to a very shallow, warm bay where we swam at sunset before heading to the bioluminescent bay. It was a magical, inspiring experience. With floaties and life jackets, we swam under the stars for nearly an hour as streams of light emanated from our arms and legs. Wear a swimsuit and take towels on the boat. Have more towels and dry clothes to change into (in your car or a restaurant restroom) after you return. Note that the small parking lot may not be obvious although there is a sign with the charter company name. It's across from a seafood restaurant. We actually parked on the street. An unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

Amazing!! - Probably the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. No words can do it justice. Bring warm clothes for the ride back it was chilly.

Wonderful experience in the bay - The bay itself was an absolutely amazing experience. Swimming in the warm water with sparkling lights all around us was a memorable and otherworldly experience. The boat and captain, Ryan, were also nice and he spoke great English, which was appreciated. The area for improvement for this operator is that there is no bathroom or changing room at the facility. After a night swim it would have been wonderful to rinse off the saltwater and change into clean clothes before we drove over an hour back home. Overall would happily do the excursion again with this tour company, but an operation with more amenities would be ideal.
