Fun on the water - great way to cool off on a hot day - This was a memorable trip on a RIB with our friendly and knowledgeable guide Nick. As well as a tour around the islands and outside caves, there was time for a swim off the boat for 10 minutes. Despite what other reviews have said, it was so easy to find the meet up on the promenade. Portovenere was great though could have done with more time as an hour was too short by the time you get your bearings. Time enough for drink or ice cream there but not food. Such fun on a hot day.

Great way to spend a few hours on a hot day - We ended our stay at La Spezia with an afternoon trip, included a welcome swim.
It was great value for the price and the skipper was full of local knowledge.

Really great time and... - Really great time and information. Kids enjoyed the boat ride and beautiful scenery. I would recommend anyone in LA Spezia to do this tour!

Top - Everything organized perfectly and very kind staff... we were a few minutes late due to traffic but they waited for our arrival to set sail.

Good tour of the islands around La Spezie and Portenvere - Good location, easy walk from the cruise terminal. All the staff really nice people. Tour is about 3 hours with time for a swim and a stop off in Portenvere.

Great trip - Great trip in a fast boat, thoroughly enjoyed it. Porto Venere was very attractive little town & the perfect stop for a drink.

Beautiful experience - Highly recommend. Very enjoyable and comfortable boat ride and we were lucky enough to get the whole boat to ourselves. Nick was fantastic!!!

Good tour, value for money. - We booked the tour and arrived at the floating dock and were welcomed. At the departure time, we were greeted by out captain Leonardo.
On the boat he told us a lot about the places we visited and took time to answer all the questions.
There is also music on board, you like that or not…

Lovely scenery, interesting and friendly tour guide, but please inform guests better - Really informative and interesting tour, compact, but lovely scenery and a knowledgeable friendly tour guide. We checked in with a very friendly reception. I would have liked a couple of things: 1/life vests weren't mentioned at all, and there were 2 kids on board (in my family). Please let everyone know where these are, and 2/If the tour guide is knowledgeable it's important to know that there are big jellyfish with tentacles in the water at Porto Venere. I know they can't control the wildlife (duh...) but if I had known that the danger had existed we wouldn't have gone in the water. My daughter was stung. Interestingly, all the people swimming there had medicine and knew exactly what to do to treat the sting so it apparently happens all the time.

I guess its fine. - This is a convenient way to see the bay and for quick trip to Porto Venere, but this is not really a tour, is not enough time to enjoy the town, and it is a bit overpriced. They use Zodiac style inflatable speedboats seating up to 12 people - thankfully, there were only 4 people on our trip, otherwise would have felt quite cramped. The captain was very pleasant and made a few stops giving some history of the islands/area - he was nice and helpful, but the interaction was no more than 10 minutes of information. Given the weather, we didn't swim but had a little more time in Porto Venere - it wasn't enough time to enjoy the town, but only to do a rapid walkthrough.
If time constrained, this may be a good option - but given the price and the short itinerary, the ferry may be better (takes longer, much cheaper, same harbor views).
