Stress free day in Florence - This was totally worth it!! We lived our guide and they dropped us off in a perfect spot. We had 5 hours to enjoy beautiful Florence and they even offered a guided tour but we went on our own. They were on time and the nicest kindest people! We got off our cruise at 9:00 and made it to the most with time to spare. Just amazing!!! would highly recommend! Got back to the cruise ship with time to spare! Thank you

A Flavour of Florence - Very easy to pick up the coach from just outside La Spezia cruise terminal. Martina, our “guide” was very informative on the way to Florence, giving commentary as we made our way there. Pick up and drop off instructions were very concise and made good use of the map that was issued to us. Once again, Martina was excellent with this. We had a fabulous 5 hours or so exploring Florence, just about enough time to locate and see the major sites, and it gave us enough flavour of the city to make a decision about returning for a longer break there. A really good day out and well worth it. This is only the second time we have used Viator, 1st time 12 months ago in Sorrento, and on both occasions we have been delighted. Well done!!

Good value - We have visited Florence quite a few times in the past and wanted to see it again because nothing compares to the beauty of this city and its museums and attractions. We were on a cruise with Sun Princess and they charge twice what you do.

Florence in the heat! - We picked up the tour outside La Spezia cruise terminal as planned and boarded the air conditioned coach for Florence. Martina, our excellent guide, told us the journey would be about 2 hours and it turned out to be a bit less. She pointed out a few points of interest along the way including the natural marble excavations in the mountains which looked like snow (even in the 40 degree heat!!). When we arrived in Florence, we got clear instructions about our rendezvous point if we weren’t going on her guided tour. Her walking tour itself provided us with all the information we needed and there were periodic stops to take a break from the heat or go inside the various buildings, so in our view, it struck just the right balance. We had time for lunch (in someone’s front room!!!) which was all part of the fun (and which was 20% cheaper if you paid in cash!!! - we didn’t ask any questions!) Our return coach trip again was punctual and got us back to the port in plenty of time. Definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful... - We had a wonderful experience with Viator. Our tour guide Lumi was very knowledgable. We originally signed up for the Florence only tour Classic option with walking tour but 2 days before the tour we received notice that we would be joining the Florence and Pisa tour at no additional cost to us due to us not having enough people to do only Florence. Our only complaint is that the air condintioning on the bus was not working very well. With the extra drive time to Pisa it made for a very long and hot day but we made the best of it.

Uncomfortable - The tour guide was fun & wonderful, as well as the bus driver. The bus seats were small & uncomfortable, as well as no leg room, even for a small person

Good trip however very fast paced! - The trip was good and well organised. We left on time and were back with plenty of time before sailaway. The only negative was that it all felt a little rushed, at the start of the walking tour i informed the guide that we were going to the bathroom and yet when we returned she had left without us so unfortunately we ended up missing that section of the day.

Not a bad TRANSFER - but don’t expect too much - Basically this is a transfer. The “Guide” on the bus was fairly efficient but answered a lot of questions with “I don’t know that”…. To questions that she should have been able to answer. They were to sell water in the bus and ran out both going to Florence and returning to the ship. 2 hour ride each way and no washroom on the bus. The air was not working well on the bus and it was 41C
