Unforgettable Italian Cultural experience with the sweetest hosts - Daniela and Jonny were so kind and welcoming to us. We had the most precious and unforgettable time with them. Through meals, conversations and time together, we learned about the italian culture as well as the hosts themselves, their stories. They were so humble, generous and down to earth. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of it. They even invited us back the next day for lunch because our plan has gotten cancelled due to rain. We are so grateful that we met the hosts on this trip. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to cook authentic italian food and experience the local culture.

Yes! Book this class with Paola! - Paola's cooking class in La Spezia Italy was fantastic! It was the best decision and one of the best excursions during our cruise. We took a taxi from the cruise port. Her home is absolutely lovely with views of the coast that are spectacular! We started with homemade focaccia bread, salami and local cheese. She even brought out homemade pesto! We made our own home made pasta and sauces. I had only made pasta once before and wow, it was so delicious! I am ordering a pasta maker when I get home. We made the best fruit tiramisu. It was refreshing and fabulous addition to the meal. Paola brought out home made limoncello. I am so excited to try to make this at home!! We absolutely adored Paola and her husband, who was able to join us for lunch on the patio. They made us feel at home and like we were their friends. Don't hesitate to book this through Viator. One thing I would add is to ask them to call a taxi to pick you up and take you back to the cruise port. It worked out perfectly.

Perfect La Spezia Cruise Shore Excursion - Finding Anna’s place was a little tricky because the address isn’t displayed on the street, and the address she gives you is her next door neighbor. We just texted her when we arrived and she came down the hill to get us. Once at the house it was like you were sitting down with family you hadn’t seen in a long time. Anna was the perfect hostess. We chit-chatted a bit, enjoyed some cheese and Prosecco, then started the pasta making. We made spinach and ricotta ravioli, tagliatelle, and then tiramisu. After lunch Anna’s grandmother-in-law joined us, and we toured the property a little bit. What an amazing, wonderful pure Italian experience! This was the highlight of our 7-day cruise.

Cooking Class review - We had a wonderful time doing the cooking class at Daniela’s house. Upon arriving she welcomed us into her home and truly immersed us in the culture. She made delicious appetizers for us and served us wine. She went into detail explaining everything she served us, the process of preparing it, and what ingredients are needed. Additionally, when making the pasta and tiramisu she let us get hands on with kneading the dough, rolling it out, cutting and shaping it. We then got try all the delicious dishes and she brought out even more food and wine for us to have. You could tell her passion for cooking and her love for teaching others how to make her recipes. At the end of the experience she brought out some fresh peaches and marscopone cream for us to have and some of her homemade liquors. It was nice having a small group cooking class in someone’s house, it made the experience feel more authentic. We loved getting to hear her stories and learn about everyone else in the class. Upon leaving she sent us with the recipes for all the things we made which was extremely kind of her. I would highly recommend booking a class with Daniella, you won’t regret it.

Exceptional culinary experience in La Spezia - Paola was an absolutely wonderful instructor and gracious host. She was so kind to open up her home to us for a few hours as we learned how to make delicious pasta and tiramisu. Their home is lovely and has a gorgeous view of the town, so that was the cherry on top! This was the highlight of our visit to Italy. We felt we had a very genuine experience that allowed us to truly feel connected to the culture. We are so grateful to have booked this class and 100% would recommend this to anyone seeking a unique, personalized activity to include in their family trips.

Top notch cooking experience - We took the pesto and pasta cooking class hosted by the fabulous Paola and Massimo, and it was a blast! From the start, their warmth and charm made us feel right at home. Paola's passion for pesto and Massimo's pasta wizardry had us kneading, rolling, and laughing the whole time. By the end, our homemade pasta and pesto were restaurant-worthy. If you're thinking about taking this class, stop thinking and just do it! Paola and Massimo are the dynamic duo you need in your life for a top-notch, fun, and delicious experience. Mangia!
