- Eglise St-Sauveur - We stop outside the famous relic of La Rochelle and great example of the effect of the iconoclastic wars.
- Quartier du Gabut - We pass through here towards the end of our tour and see if there is anything interesting happening at the famous Guingette!
- Phare du quai Valin - We stop at this lighthouse and discuss the importance the two lighthouses had on maritime navigation in La Rochelle.

An informative historical tour - John is very knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour of La Rochelle. The tour was informative and his historical knowledge of the area was impressive.
Look out for the mystery cat!! 😃
John also offers a food tour which would interest those who like to try a variety of different cuisines.

Getting to know a bit about La Rochelle. - This was a great introduction to La Rochelle. John is very knowledgeable about the city and it's history. He also gave us good tips for restaurants and things to do in the area. We have tried two of the places he recommended and both were fantastic. I highly recommend this tour.

Very informative - We booked this tour to find out about La Rochelle as we hadn't been here before. Our guide, John, proved to be very informative. We managed to get an overview of the history of La Rochelle which was delivered at a leasurely pace. The tour took about 2 hours and we certainly felt that we came away with a much better understanding of the history, architecture, and culture of the city. John also provided very sound and useful advice about some of the other attractions within the city and we followed his advice on eateries - he was able to advise and make good recommendations about restaurants off the beaten track. I was impressed by the fact that no question about the city seemed to phase him. He provided what seemed to be a fairly comprehensive knowledge of the history and culture of a very interesting city.

Interesting overview of the history of La Rochelle - John told us a good 2h many stories about historic La Rochelle, humorous and very competent with more detailed questions. He also gave us many recommendations for our further stay.

Great local guide! - There’s nothing like exploring La Rochelle with a local. Our tour guide, John, was very knowledgeable about its rich history, amazing cuisine, and traditions. He gave great recommendations about where the locals eat and drink. He’s engaging, funny, and made walking around the port and old town far more exciting than if we did it alone. Thank you, John!
