La Paz to Uyuni

La Paz - The journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in La Paz, scheduled one hour before the bus departure. You will then embark on a night bus to Uyuni, featuring reclining seats, an onboard bathroom, English-speaking assistance, and a light dinner.

Uyuni to San Juan

Uyuni Salt Flat - After a 9-hour bus journey, you will be transferred to the offices where a delightful breakfast awaits before starting your tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats and the vibrant lagoons. The first stop is the “train cemetery,” where you can explore old, weathered trains.

Isla Incahuasi - The tour continues to the “Salar de Uyuni” via Colchani, where you can witness the traditional processing of edible salt. Next, visit the salt mounds and the center of the Salar, where you’ll explore Isla Incahuasi, a natural formation of volcanic rock and giant cacti. The journey proceeds to the opposite side of the Salar to reach San Juan, a town on the Salar’s edge, where you’ll spend the night in a private room and savor a delicious local dinner.

San Juan to Laguna Colorada

Valle De Rocas - After a hearty breakfast, your guide will lead you southwest to discover the Cañapa, Stink, Chiarkota, Honda, and Ramadita lagoons. Here, you can observe numerous flamingos and other birds, such as Andean Geese and seagulls, amidst the stunning backdrop of snow-capped volcanoes.

Laguna Colorada - The tour continues to “Laguna Colorada,” where you’ll spend the night in a private room. After a sumptuous local dinner, enjoy stargazing, as this location is renowned for its clear skies, offering a spectacular view of the stars and the Milky Way.

Lagoons, Uyuni, La Paz

Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - On the fourth day, rise early to explore the geysers known as “Morning Sun,” witnessing the first light in this scenic area where volcanoes appear active, emitting fumaroles and minor volcanic activity.

The journey continues over the highest point of the road, approximately 5,000 meters above sea level. Visit Laguna Colorada, then proceed to the “stone tree” and along the high plateau road to the Polques hot springs, where you can enjoy a warm bath. Cross the Dali desert to reach the green lagoon at the base of the Licancabur Volcano.

The tour returns to Uyuni, where you can observe Andean flora and fauna en route, arriving in Uyuni at 5:00 PM. After a brief rest, you will be transferred to your bus for the return trip to La Paz.

La Paz - Arriving in La Paz around 6:00 AM, a driver will be ready to pick you up and take you to your hotel.
