Great city tour! - It was an enjoyable tour, definitely a good way to start your travels in La Paz. Our guide, Fernando, was very informative and he gave the opportunity to ask questions throughout the tour. The views from the cable cars were amazing!

La Paz Walking Tour + Uyuni Salar - “Discovering Bolivia: Hiking in La Paz and Adventure in the Salar de Uyuni” My experience with HanaqPacha was divided into two tours: a fascinating walk through La Paz and a visit to the famous Salar de Uyuni. The walk through La Paz was simply amazing. Our guide, Carolina, was extremely friendly and attentive. We spent almost 4 hours exploring the charms of La Paz and El Alto, with right to a delicious stop for empanadas. It was an authentic and well-planned immersion that left great memories. The tour was organized by a subcontracted company, the Salty Desert Uyuni, so I will not go into details about the tour itself (which unfortunately did not meet the expectations). However, I highlight the excellent coordination work of HanaqPacha, especially Veronica, which was impeccable. All along, she communicated with me via WhatsApp, ensuring everything was in order. Even when my flight to Uyuni was delayed, she was quick to reassure and adjust the details. This support made all the difference in the overall experience.

A fantastic insight into La Paz and its people - Carolina was a wonderful tour guide digging deep into Bolivian culture, the history of the city and the charms of the city today. She was generous in sharing her knowledge and embracing of questions about the culture, architecture, food, politics, the Boliviano obsession with the Simpsons, and everything in between! Very good value and highly recommended 👍🏼

Great, informative Walking Tour through La Paz - I can highly recommend this walking tour! My guide, Luiz, who speaks very well English showed me the city and provided a lot of useful information about La Paz, but also about Bolivia. He took his time to explain everything in detail. I got to know the teleferico system, that works here instead of a metro, which is fascinating! Great tour, thank you so much!

Challenging - City of contrasts, in the midst of its chaos is quiet, challenging. With a climate and a height felt when walking invites you to know and explore its streets, colors and flavors

Not very comfortable - I found the guide’s manner of speaking somewhat abrasive, which may be due to a language or cultural difference. He frequently used phrases like ‘Is it clear?’ or ‘Do you understand?’, which felt condescending. At one point, I asked for clarification on a point about corruption because I hadn’t heard him clearly, and he responded by saying, ‘You haven’t been listening,’ which was off-putting. While the guide emphasized the importance of respecting and not judging local culture, he also expressed pride that Bolivia preserves its traditions, unlike neighboring countries that are embracing globalization. While I appreciate pride in one’s culture, I believe there’s a way to promote your country without diminishing others. Additionally, the economic situation in Bolivia is complex, and it’s a sensitive topic. As a tourist, I was looking for a tour that would give me a balanced view of the city, its culture, and its values. However, this experience left me with the impression that the guide’s attitude could be interpreted as reflective of the broader culture in La Paz or Bolivia, which may not be accurate. Overall, this was not the most positive cultural encounter, but I’ll keep in mind that it was just one interaction and may not represent the whole community. The tour lasted 2 hr instead of 3 but I am glad it ends early. As sudden change in altitude taking cable car can be also challenging
