Amazing tour operator - The best tour operator in La Paz. I was using the shop on Calle commercial and have to recommend Americo. He sorted all my trips in Bolivia and went the extra mile. I did death road, Amazon, salt flats, lake titicaca and the wrestling all with Inca land tours

Unforgettable month in Bolivia - We selected Inca Land Tours (ILT) already for the third time when visiting Bolivia, because we had excellent experience from the past visits. This time we planned a three-week itinerary in collaboration with ILT covering Salar de Uyuni circuit (4 days), climbing Pequeňo Alpamayo & Ancohuma, and 6-day Pampas trip. We had different crews for every section of the trip, however, we always got a very knowledgeable guide and excelent cook. The toughest was the mountain part with two demanding climbs - Ramiro played a key role here as an extremely experienced mountain guide. As for the pampas tour - ILT has the lodge up the river Yacuma in a scenic setting (with the nest of Jabiru birds above your head). ILT will fulfill your every wish provided you know what you want to achieve in Bolivia and you are searching for the experienced agency to facilitate it. Only then you can enjoy your vacation fully.

Climbing Illimani and Cabeza del Condor - I did two day climbs of both Illimani and Cabeza del Condor respectively. Illimani was super challenging especially in such little time, but with the motivation of my guide I was able to make it. On Cabeza del Condor we had to turn back after the incredibly steep and technical canaleta, a 100m chute as steep as 70°. Unfortunately the wind was just too strong, and given that the final section is a steep and narrow ridge with fatal drops on either side, it was too dangerous to continue. Having said that, I enjoyed the company and efforts of my guide, Theo, who seemed really eager for us to make it to the summit and was happy to wait to see if the wind would die down. All in all I was really happy with the service I received from Inca Land, and delighted that I got to summit one of the highest peaks on the summit, as well as climb the entirety of the nerve racking canaleta. The owner of the agency is also very friendly and personable, so I highly recommend booking a tour with them.

Inca Trail & Salar de Uyuni - Awesome travel agency that I can only highly recommend. I did the Inca Trail and the tour to Salar de Uyuni with them. Their staff was extrem supportive and the organisation was awesome given my limited time (only one week). All in all, Inca Land made definitely a distinctive difference for my travel experience and I enjoyed my trip a lot!

Little seriousness and organization - the salar tour ok but they also offer packages to go into the jungle and to cusco (machu picchu) not ok. The lady eliana is clever saying that it's all included then come up experiences or meals to pay separately. As for the jungle experience, they made me do one day less than agreed and did not want to refund me. In the end I got my compensation back but only thanks to my pedantry. Mrs. Eliana also does not answer the phone when trying to contact her for necessary information. Not recommended!

Bolivia is beautiful. Inca Lands Tour company is disreputable. - The nature and country side was wonderful. This tour company is disreputable. Highly not recommendable. If you are approached by a sales person Americo, run the other way. Hours of talking and pressure and the Bolivian tour equivalent to a used car salesman. All fast talk, false promises, fake camaraderie, flamboyant showmanship, but terrible product. The definition of over promise, under deliver. Nothing gets done right. Everything is set up late/last minute. You will be promised the Best this and that, and get second rate products. Do not expect comfort or luxury. We even had to call and text for a bus ride home and got a cramped sweaty substandard bus company home, not what was promised/expected. Very unprofessional interactions. And unsavoury breeches of personal boundaries and professional conduct (pressuring us to solicit sex worker services through him). There are hundreds of tour services offering the same experiences. Look elsewhere.

Do Not Recommend — English speaker booked onto a Spanish speaking tour - I walked into the La Paz tour agency office and asked if they spoke English because I wanted to book a tour of Salar de Uyuni. Two ladies (Jacqueline and someone else) spent 45 minutes reviewing the trip details with me in English. They informed me it was 936 Bolivianos for the 3D/2N tour which I paid. I verbally asked for confirmation that it was in English since I didn’t see the designation on my voucher, they replied “Yes, of course.” After I left, they sent me an English version brochure on WhatsApp since they could only find the Spanish one during our in person discussion. Lo and behold, I get to Uyuni and they have booked me on a Spanish speaking tour. They claimed I only paid 900 Bolivianos which is the price for a Spanish tour. Yes, this is what I paid because you told me it was the price! I would have paid the English tour price with no hesitation. Why would you book me on a Spanish speaking tour when you spent 45 minutes speaking with me in English and also sent me an English brochure?l In addition to not being able to communicate with anyone in the group for 3 days, I noted the following inconsistencies: 1. They informed me that upon arriving in Uyuni on a 10 hour overnight bus, I would have the choice to visit a cafe for breakfast or use the lounge room located at the agency office. There was no lounge room. It does not exist. The agency office is tiny and can barely fit 3 people in it. 2. My voucher showed designations for both shared and private rooms. I was told I would have one night shared accommodation and one night private. This was not true, I had two nights shared accommodation. When I confronted them about this they claimed that private means 2 people sharing a room (instead of more). I don’t know what world they live in, but sharing a room with a stranger does not mean private. 3. I was told that day 3 would entail a stop at the hot springs. This was not true and we did not stop at any hot springs. I am very disappointed in the service provided by this agency. I can overlook the inaccuracies in accommodation and itinerary but the mixup with the language is unforgivable. I can’t imagine a professional tour agent making such a significant mistake. You don’t speak to someone in one language for 45 minutes and then book them on a tour in a completely different language and then instead of admitting you made an error, blame the customer for paying the incorrect amount which you quoted.

Awful experience on Madidi trek - We booked a 6 day Madidi trek. From the start it was obvious the guide was in poor health - he had severe leg pains and was struggling to walk without falling over. On the second day there was a lot of very uphill walking - he had to do this on hands and knees. The agency had said we would be given water purification tablets - these were never provided so we drank straight from rivers. On arriving at the second campsite at 1pm we found that the river we had been walking towards was dry. We were told we would have to walk until 5pm the next day for water. We decided to turn back on the second night and because the guide was having difficulty walking he left early in the morning 2 hours before us, leaving us to find our way back alone with the cook who had never been to Madidi before. We obviously got lost and found it extremely difficult to keep to the correct path - unbelievable to be left without a guide in the jungle. We walked for 2-3 hours (finding a pool of blood on the way as our guide had managed to cut part of his thumb off with his machete!) before finding the guide at the bottom of the hill, who then immediately set off while we were resting. We then spent about 45 minutes trying to find the path yet again as none of us had seen where he went. The agency gave us half our money back on return as we had only done 3 out of the 6 days but looking back those 3 days were not at all worth paying for as our guide was barely competent. Really strongly recommend avoiding.
