Monkeys and sloths and birds, oh my! - We took the late afternoon float safari. Very relaxing. Jose was a great guide. We saw tons of different animals. Two kinds of monkeys. Many kinds of birds. One sloth. Iguanas. Bats. And the list goes on. Worth the money. The snacks and chocolate-making demo at the end were a great end to a great time.

Wonderful! - This tour was amazing! We saw so many animals. We saw howler monkeys, a basalisk, a porcupine, iguanas, and more. Bryan was our guide and he was great! Both my 9 and ten year olds loved it!

A fun time floating down the river—plus a delicious snack after! Great tour, great guide! - We traveled to Costa Rica in June 2024, and our travel agency (Pacific Trade Winds) booked two of our tours near La Fortuna with Canoa Adventura. Both tours were fantastic and I would absolutely recommend working with them! Specifically for this review, we did was the safari float down Rio Peñas Blancas, with Orlando as our guide. This was such a fun experience, and he was very kind, personable, and knowledgeable. The views were incredible, and the snack afterward was delicious (I’m literally still thinking about it now, lol). After, we had a quick chocolate/cacao overview and that was really cool and an unexpected surprise. Highly recommend working with this company if you’re considering it. If we go back to this area of CR, we’re absolutely using this same company for any excursions!

Relaxing experience - The trip was very relaxing going down the river. The guides were very knowledgeable, pointed out various animals we would have otherwise missed. Great activity for kids and adults. Would highly recommend.

Fun - So much fun! Saw monkeys, owls, crocodile, tucans, bats and other birds. Our guide, Lidyer was knowledgeable and would make stops so we can get a better look at the animals. They are very organized, on time and responsive. They were aware we had another activity right after and made sure we arrived on time without rushing us. I do recommend bringing sunscreen because there is a part of the safari where there isn't a lot of shade. Abigail was extremely helpful and patient with my questions. On another note, this company was extremely helpful with helping us setup a zipline activity with another company. I believe Adriana is who helped us. She went above and beyond to find a time that would accomadate us. I would recommend them 110% and look forward to booking with them again. Pura Vida!

Gilles, Conny & Juna - Great experience for every age. Very safe! Funny & knowledgeable guides that were able to explain a lot about the flora and fauna along the lake. We saw many animals and were able to take photos. Would 100% recommand this tour

Fun experience - Tour guides were awesome and informative. Cool raft through the river. Saw bats tucans monkeys iguanas crocodiles.

Tour guide was very... - Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Some fun extras at the end of the tour too. Easy to do with a family. No skills needed.

Pleasant and easy trip - The float was nice. Through no fault of the tour or the guide, we saw wildlife but it was very hard to get a good look or take any pictures because you're floating down the river.
