Natural tour! - Christian was an excellent and knowledgable guide. This is a tour of animals in their natural habitat. We saw two sloths (one with a baby!) - they were high in the treetops and so we used a scope to see them closer. We also learned about other animals, such as snakes and leaf-cutter ants, as well as other facts about plants. This was a light walk in the woods and quite relaxing. This is a good tour for people who are not interested in supporting "zoos" but rather want to see animals in the wild.

Wonderful experience with a fantastic guide - This was an amazing experience. Our guide, Edson, was extremely knowledgable, located many sloths for us to see but also birds, insects and plants that were fascinating to learn about. He took many wonderful photos and videos for us with our camera using his scope. And he took the time to answer every question. He clearly loves sharing Costa Rica wildlife and nature. I also really appreciated how good he was with 2 very small children who were in odr group and started out being pretty grumpy. He was able to very effectively calm them down and help them participate in the tour. Highly recommend this tour - and Edson!

This tour deserves the highest ranking possible !!! You will not be disappointed! - It is a true Costa Rica - experience. We toured in a very small group and had plenty of time to look around and ask questions. Our guide Victor was very knowledgeable and funny. We saw many sloths in their natural habitat and even a sloth mother with her baby. He also pointed out other animals and plants to us. After the tour we enjoyed the fun of making our own sugar cane juice and tortillas in the oweners' outdoor kitchen. It was so great. Really. Fun for all ages if you're up for it.

Arenal nature with an amazing guide - We had the most fantastic tour with JP (and our driver, Superman!). The sloth tour was fab, running around La Fortuna spotting sloths all over the place - 11 in 90 minutes! JP was really knowledgeable and entertaining, and got us involved in looking for animals as well as learning loads. I loved that we didn't go to an official sloth sanctuary where some practices can be inhumane, but instead relied on JP's legwork the day before and the network of reported sightings to track sloths in the wild.
Later on we walked around the lava flow from the 1968 Arenal eruption, and visited the beautiful La Fortuna waterfall for a refreshing swim. Both were wonderful and JP made the experience even better with his encyclopaedic insight into the nature around Arenal.
Overall, an amazing day. JP made us feel really special and gave us so many great memories within a few hours. We also enjoyed talking to him about life in Costa Rica (and life in general) over lunch. We will definitely look him up if we come to La Fortuna again.

Sloth hunt - Our guide helped us to find and observe 6 sloths, but we had to walk through deep mud to find them. We also found a blue Jean poison frog. I thought breakfast was listed as included in the package but that was not the case. Our guide tried to sell us a property in Costa Rica.

Worthless, Liars - I paid for one person to go on their (now inactive) Hanging Bridges tour and when I met the driver at 7:30a, he cancelled on me saying he expected me to pay the price for 2 since they do not operate with one. I explained that Expedia sold the ticket for one and he should honor it since this company works with them. He declined and said he would have my money refunded. Now I woke up early and left to redo my schedule! Then I speak to Expedia later on and the guide wrote that I should not receive a refund because I cancelled on them and threatened him. When I reached out to the company about their lies and that I was still getting the refund since THEY cancelled, they said not to call them liars. Too bad I have the screenshot of the guide's exact words he typed! They never responded after that! Worthless company. Go to the bridges on your own and get their guide, it's less expensive and better. Do the night walk with Flow Rivers (I did the night boat) or with Costa River Descents- those are honorable companies that uphold their policies.
