Beautiful & majestic views - Our guide was terrific. We felt safe while he took care of all the details. We needed to make one market stop on the way back and he was very accommodating. So far, this has been our favorite excursion. The falls were beyond beautiful and getting to swim nearby was amazing opportunity.

The Costan Rican Nature Beauty - Do you like Nature? Do you love refreshing water? Then the Waterfall is a place for you! This was my first time in Costa Rica, and this experience was a memorable time! The care and the kindness put into the tour guide's effort made my heart glow with happiness! The Waterfall is so beautiful, in a way that you can’t imagine! Thank you Christopher the Tour Guide and Marco and the Driver making this experience unforgettable!

Excellent choice of service provider - This is just one is the three services we booked with Jacamar in Costa Rica. I will give the company 100% positive review based on my family’s experience. It’s not the tour itself, because all your companies can offer similar your packages. However, it is based on the absolutely attentive service we received. The staff (guides/drivers) were sincere, punctual (to the minute), friendly, attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the trip, in every trip we had with them. Feel very good about choosing them and highly recommended.

Great tour! - Heido was our private guide for the two hour tour and we had a great time with him. He told us alot of great history during the walk up and down, and made sure to take it at our speed. The water at the bottom was very strong due to the high rain at that time, but we still swam and had fun in the little river around the corner from the waterfall.

La Fortuna waterfall hike - We booked the trip at the last minute and we’re so glad we did! Helen was our guide and clearly enjoyed being our guide and showing us all that the rainforest had to offer. I mentioned that I liked plants and she spent much of the hike showing us various plant species along the way. She also proudly shared Costa Rican history with us, while guiding us down and back up the 530 steps. The waterfall was beautiful and swimming in it was really cool. The current in the pool directly under the waterfall was strong, but a second pool a little bit lower had a great view of the falls without the need to tread water. Highly recommend the tour and Helen as the guide!

JP is Awesome! - JP was an exceptional tour guide. His van was beautifully maintained and he was not only punctual but early. JP is very friendly and knowledgeable, not only educating myself and my new bride on the local flora and fauna but also helping others along the hike. Enroute he spotted a sloth and pulled over so we could enjoy the sight! He kept us safe and made us feel like family. JP made this excursion a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget! As newly weds on our honeymoon we could not have dreamed of a better guide in a more beautiful place! Thank you JP!!!!!! Pura Vida!!!!!!!

Inolvidable! unforgettable! - Unforgettable experience swimming in the waterfall. Our guide JP was great company. Very entertaining, knowledgeable and considerate. He showed us so much en route to and returning from the waterfall. Really enjoyed the mango and oranges he perforated for us after.

Feels like a self guided tour - The tour guide picked us up at the hotel @7:25am, provided us with water, towels and drove us to the waterfall. He did not say anything during the drive. Once there, he showed us the facility, walked down the 500 steps to the waterfall with us and we were on our own for about 1hr. He only mentioned a few sentences about the waterfall. He did not talk about the foliage, or any interesting fact about the region or area like other guided tours that we took. Then we all walked back up. The drive back was in silence as well. We got back to the hotel around 9:50am. Very disappointed! La Fortuna waterfall entrance fee is $18 pp and you can take a Uber there from the hotel for about $7.50. We paid $64 pp. I do not recommend this guided tour. Save yourself some money, Just go by Uber or taxi.
