Favorite activity in Costa R - My family said it was their favorite activity the entire trip and we did a lot of excursions. Walking into the water was difficult with the uneven rocks.

Amazing! - We did the horseback riding tour to the waterfall with our tour guide Danny, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! Danny was the kindest, sweetest guide! He was so professional and so fun to do the tour with. I got to hike down to the waterfall halfway through the ride and it was an amazing to witness such beauty. I would absolutely recommend this tour! And Danny!

Must do while in Arenal.... - Must do while in Arenal. Even though heavily raining, Ivan made the trip enjoyable. Note, you won’t be able to swim if raining. Ivan was courteous and authentic. We learned a little about Costa Rican culture as well.

Breathtaking waterfall - Absolutely beautiful waterfall and well worth the steps it took to go down and back up again! Due to the amount of rain in the area the past few days we weren’t allowed to swim at the waterfall but it was still a breathtaking sight. Thanks Diego for leading our hike and sharing information about the falls. The lunch afterwards was really good as well. Highly recommend this tour!

Waterfall hike and swim - Mainor made our waterfall hike very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the area, animals and the history. He made the 500+ steps very easy to manage. Waterfall and swim was awesome! They even helped us find some great souvenirs after the hike. Highly recommend!

¡ Muchas gracias, Elena ! - Elena was my guide for an afternoon hike to the Fortuna waterfall. I was impressed with, and grateful for, her professionalism and dedication. I was really keen to see a sloth, and although that was not part of my planned visit with Elena, she asked our driver to stop at a location so that we could see sloths (two!) on our way to the waterfall.  Once at the waterfall, Elena took her time to share her knowledge with me, and showed me the orchid trail on the way back up. She also took photos throughout our tour, and sent them to me afterwards, as the camera on my mobile phone was broken. It was a pleasure to visit the waterfall with Elena, and I cannot recommend her tour guide services enough.

Magical - The falls are beautiful, the guide was great and recommend going early before the crowds. The steps are steep and wet, wear good shoes…. Would not recommend for ankle/ knee issues

Great experience and knowledgeable guide - We did the waterfall tour today as a family of 4 with Jasmine, she was absolutely amazing with us and our 2 children, along with the drive Ami. Both are very personable and good pace for an excursion with 2 kids. We had plenty of time to explore and it wasn't rushed. She explained the flora and fauna along the way and also the history of Costa Rica.

Best experience in LaFortuna - Our guide, Pepè, was above and beyond. He stopped on the way to the waterfall to show us several sloths in the trees. During the ride and the hike he was entertaining and informative. We took great care to ensure all in our family were safe and having a great time. He was also a skilled photographer and captured so many great memories while we were swimming. Our whole family loved him. This was the last tour we booked while in LaFortuna and our favorite one. Highly recommend. Pepè deserves a promotion. Skip the sloth farm and book a tour with Pepè.

This was not what booked and payed for! - Even though we booked a guided tour, all we got was a ride there and back to our hotel, towels and water. Neither were there any snacks, wifi on board, nor was there any type of a guided tour. The guide was really nice but just left us at the beginning of the steps and told us she would pick us up in an hour. We were walking to the waterfall by ourselves and didn’t see any animals. When we came back we were very confused whether this was the hole experience for which we payed 50€ for (EACH!)….. I usually don’t write bad reviews but I am just astonished that somebody is selling this as a guided tour or great experience. We could have just drove there ourselves and payed the 20€ entrance fee and would have saved at least 60€ in total! I hope we get some of the money back.
