- F955+53 - Cooking and Salsa Dance Lesson Combo\nLearn to cook and dance like a local on this unique night out in La Fortuna! The perfect way to get to know Costa Rican culture and take part in some of our most important activities in Costa Rica: cooking, eating, and dancing!\nPeople are starting to really take to learning about new cultures and the best way to do that is to learn about what the locals eat.\nTurns out, Costa Rica has amazing cuisine – it’s healthy, natural, and actually very easy to learn how to cook it. That’s why you’ll be wanting to take back local spices and try some of our favorite recipes back home with your friends and families.\nWe’ve planned these cooking classes as a great way to get to know other travelers and hang out with a knowledgeable local “chef!”\nBut the night gets even better because as soon as you finish cooking, you’ll be able to sit down to the delicious meal you helped cook up and chat about the “Pura Vida” of Costa Rica.\nBut wait… there’s more! Hope you brought your dancing shoes to Costa Rica because we then head to the dance floor to learn how to dance to some of our favorite Latin beats – salsa, merengue, cumbia y bachata!

Perfect evening for solo travelers, couples, families, or groups. - This was a huge highlight of our trip. A night of local cooking, with adult beverages, and salsa dance lessons. It was so fun and great to meet other fellow travelers that quickly enjoyed an evening together. Thank you, Jenny, for making this night a wonderful cultural experience. We enjoyed it and highly recommend this for an evening that is memorable.

Cooking & Dancing Galore - Great for all ages. Our group had a variety of ages from 9-60 and it was great for everyone. Clientele is very international. Definitely stay for the dance class - it’s a blast. If you want to learn about Costa Rica from Costa Ricans who want to teach, this is the place for you. Great food, great vibes, great culture, learned a ton. It’s notably longer than you’d think, great value for money. Super fun - come energized and ready to socialize!

Wonderful evening - We did this with our kids and we all loved it. The setup/decor is really nice and clean. Jenny was a great cooking instructor and explained everything clearly. She let us run the show and be involved in all the steps. We worked together to create s delicious dinner that we then enjoyed. The dance class was also super fun and we had a lot of laughs. Highly recommend for a family evening.

Highly recommend while in La Fortuna - We cooked and danced with a few other family groups who were vacationing in the area from different areas of the world/USA which was a lot of fun - meeting other people while engaged in a common activity brings a sense of fellowship. The food was great and the dancing lesson afterwards was a lot of fun.

Amazing combo class - worth it! - Kathy was such a great cook & dancer! We loved her instruction for both. She has a great personality and a kind demeanor. She told us about her background in cooking & dancing and some knowledge about Costa Rican food/drinks which was very interesting. We loved the class very much! And the food was EXCELLENT!

Don’t waste your money on an overbooked cooking class - 1) if you are looking for an intimate family cooking lesson, this is not for you. The details in the booking stated there would be no more than 10 people per lesson. Our group was over 30 people. Because of this, our immediate group only got to make tortillas. We didn’t even get to see or hear about what else was going on at other tables.
2) Be aware that the foods being made by others during this “cooking lesson” is the food you will eat for dinner. This HUGE group had so many adults cutting vegetables, eating them, then using those same fingers to continue to prep food that other people would eat. We were disgusted watching them.
3) fortunately our personal group was the only one who paid for the salsa class, so that was intimate and we had a fantastic time. Our instructor was great and patient with our teens and us adults.
