Highlight of our trip - Jazmin was one of the best tour guides we've ever had. She was very knowledgeable about birds and where to find them we identified 22 confirmed species - including toucans, a rufous-tailed jacamar and a rare Black Phoebe - and spotted many more. We also saw vampire bats, howler monkeys, red poison dart frogs and a coati. Jazmin was also a great photographer, taking photos with our phones through the spotting scope. And at the end, our driver (I think his name was Freddy) had a picnic breakfast set up for us, with sandwiches, fruit, nuts, cookies, juice and coffee. Highly recommended!

Best birding tour to start our trip - Jazmin was amazing! We saw 28 species of birds on our very first morning in Costa Rica. She was very knowledgeable and patient and it was truly one of our favorite tours while visiting La Fortuna.

Mundo Aventura - Don and I went on the Night Walk at 6 to 9 with 5 people led by Mau and assisted by Marcos whom ge is training. The excitement was papable! So knowledgeable, from knowing what to expect at every crook and cranny, to understanding the import in the universe of animals to how they fit in the ecology. 4 types of glass frogs, many true dogs and tree frogs. Snake coiling to make dinner of a frog. Parthenogenic lizard in a bank. Excellent cameras and shared the wonderful pictures with us on WhatsApp. The next morning he met us at 5:30 am, ....when does he sleep....and we spent 38 minutes at one tree, do exciting the number of species. He recorded videos to share thru his spotting scope of a purple crested fairy, and others. He knew everyone on the sire, zipline guide, admin, restaurant. Maleku interpreter, took us to rappel waterfall ( view-onlt!), to Makeku village, and returned 5 hr later to a lovely (included) breakfast. Don't miss it, pick Mau!

1000% our trip highlight! - Most people don’t want to be picked up at 530am on a vacation, but if you love birds, you need to drag yourself out of bed and go. Gabriele was our guide and he was truly fantastic. A life long birder, he knew all of the local birds by sight and call. We managed to see approximately 35 different species on our 3 hour hike. 3 types of Toucans, thrushes, puffers, a white hawk and King Vulture…amazing. If you don’t have a high end camera, no worries…bring a cell phone as the guides all have monoculars that you can take pictures with from your phone…if you have a proper birding camera, make sure you know how to use it in low light…early morning tends to be on the dark side and you need steady hands or a mono/tri pod. Things you need…water, rain gear, binoculars and hiking boots. The walk is not difficult and the team splits the walk for you at about the 90 min mark where they provide a simple breakfast of nuts, sandwiches and some juice…perfect for us. This was a trip highlight and something you should 100% consider
