Arenal volcano hike La Fortuna - We booked an Arenal volcano hike La Fortuna two days ago with Emanuel and it was fantastic !! We had a private tour with Emanuel and he taught us so much about the Rain Forest, trees, plants and animals... so much more than we expected. He is a very passionate guide that you should definitely book.

Highlight of my trip! - Oh my gosh, this was the HIGHLIGHT of my trip! I visited Costa Rica as a solo traveler for a week this past November, and had a full itinerary of everything I wanted to do. This list, obviously, included a visit to Arenal Volcano, but I didn't know exactly what I needed to do to make sure I got the full experience. Thankfully, the night before I made the 3-hour drive to Fortuna, I came across this Viator offer for a hiking tour. I speedily reserved my spot, and headed out the next morning, not knowing exactly what to expect. Well, let's be honest — this was likely the highlight of my entire trip! I met my tour guide, Eduardo, in the city center, and we took off in my car with some snacks in tow. He was fluent in Spanish and I was fluent in English, so we ended up speaking Spanglish the majority of our time together, which turned into nearly 6 hours all in all. On the way to Arenal, he asked me to pull over so we could see a sloth in a tree just off the highway. The only sloth I saw my entire trip, and what a memorable start to a great journey! Next, we drove on to Arenal, and ate some fresh fruit (pineapple and mango) before making the hike up. The hike was AMAZING, super beautiful, and even some drizzle didn't stop us from fully enjoying the experience. It was so nice and refreshing to have thoughtful, in-depth conversations with Eduardo about the tourism industry, his kids, and the state of the world throughout our journey, and he was someone I would definitely hang out with again. After our hike, we went to the hot springs to check them out, then drank some beers and watched the sunset. This is a definite must for any and all travelers, let alone cool solo travelers like yours truly lol :) Many thanks to Eduardo and Emmanuel for making this such a memorable experience!

Amazing experience, well worth it - Eduardo is an exceptional guide who not only shared his extensive knowledge of the region's flora and fauna but also offered fascinating insights into his own life experiences growing up there. Our hike to Mirador El Silencio was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. Eduardo expertly spotted wildlife and even assisted us in capturing some fantastic photographs with his telescope. We were treated to breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano and the lake. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable experience Emmanuel, the tour operator, was very helpful, responsive and answered my questions patiently

Emmanuel was the best tour guide - Great guide, very knowledgeable!! We booked a mistico bridges and Volcano Hike with Emmanuel. He also took us to a local soda for breakfast between the tours. If you want to have a guide that will become a friend, Emmanuel is your guy. I highly recommend Emmanuel for any la fortuna/ arenal tour.

Hike a volcano - We viewed amazing wildlife such as White faced monkeys feeding in the trees and a mother sloth with her baby. We hiked up a lava flow. Great hike.

Emmanuel is fantastic! - Our tour with Emmanuel was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We were able to see a sloth thanks to his determination and the view of the volcano was breathtaking.

Eagle eye on Tour - We did a tour at Emmanuel and thought it was great. You could tell how he knows and loves nature. His English was good and easy to understand. The tour is highly recommended!

Worst experience ever, lier and thief - Terrible Person, this guy is a liar and a thief he stole 150 dollars from me and said he wouldn’t pay me back. Do not trust him he will take advantage of you in any way possible.
