La Fortuna de San Carlos - The horse riding take place at a quiet place through cattle grazing fields to patches of forest, you will enjoy the large shade trees as well as a variety of flora and fauna. We will visit the lagoon crater and the Arenal Volcano viewpoint, two of the most impressive attractions of the area. From the viewpoint, you can take breath-taking pictures upon your horse with the volcano as your backdrop. The second part of this combo tour will begin in our zipline park, Arenal Canopy Adventure. After a safety briefing and get the gear on, we will head up the first platform with a height of 25 meters (80 ft.) to begin our way across 8 cables that will take us through 2 km (1.2 miles) of beautiful rainforest.
This zipline circuit consists of 13 platforms, including 4 built in enormous trees with a specialized anchor system which allows the trees to grow unharmed. The cables range in heights from 20 m. (65 ft.) to 90 m. (300 ft.) and between 70 m. (230 ft.) and 600 m. (1970 feet) in lengths. This allows you to reach speeds of up to 56 kph (35 mph)!

A great experience - We had the best time! Joel was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Since my sister and I had horseback riding experience, he put us on fast horses and let us go! It was lovely. The ziplining was also a great time. Highly recommend. The staff are all incredible. Once in a lifetime experience.

Highly recommend - We did the horseback riding and zip line adventure. Joel, our horse guide, was kind, knowledgeable and an excellent guide. The horses were calm and responsive. The tour had great views and many sights. We saw a sloth, many agouti, a wide array of birds.
The zip line crew was clearly competent but also fun and entertaining. The experience felt safe with spectacular views.

10000/10 DO IT - Might have been the highlight of the trip. Ziplines were crazy cool (and long!) and the horse back riding was incredible - some of the horses had such personality! Make sure you are honest with the employees about your level of riding experience, as they will 100% believe you, and most of the horses want to explore. Absolutely incredible - spiritual experience. I’m afraid of heights and did this, and it was INCREDIBLE. Have faith in yourself and do this tour!

Honeymoon getaway - Our guide was more than amazing, made us feel safe. We were lucky enough to be the only ones that booked that morning so we essentially got a private tour, I honestly wish I did this part a second time around with my husband before we left, we truly enjoyed every aspect! They are all about PURA VIDA VIBES! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making it truly memorable.

Adrenaline filled fun for the whole family! - This was an adrenaline filled day for all of us! My young kids loved galloping the horses along the scenic path to the Arenal volcano. Our guide was knowledgeable and a great horse handler. Some paths were a little rough and difficult so I’d recommend this experience for an intermediate rider or request an easy path before beginning your trek.
The zip lining was also very scenic! We were done in less than an hour with the zip lines. The kids loved both experiences equally. Highly recommend for active kids!

Wonderful experience! - Didn't realize you didn't have to sign up for both the horseback riding and zip line but I did. We decided not to do the zip line; however, they didn't offer to refund us the amount. How our guide was great and provided us with the historical information about the volcano and area. I had fun and would do it again. I wish I could remember our guides name because I would like to say kudos for a job well done. 👍🏼

Definitely recommend - We had a great time, the horse riding was lots of fun and you get some great views from the trail. The canopy was my favorite and has some amazing scenery as you make your way around. The guides were great and the fruit at the end is a nice touch.

Zip lines and horses - awesome! - The whole trip was awesome. The horse ride was through fields and roads as we climbed to great places for pictures of the Volcano and Green lake. The 8 zip lines were fast and the Tarzan swing was stomach dropping. Great staff and fresh fruit once you’re done.

Wet day but fun - It was raining and we still head out to the horseback riding but almost halfway through we had to turn back we also did the zip line while it was raining and it’s still was fun even though we where all wet

Make another choice, bad combo, not concerned with guests - A bit of a factory...little concern for guests. We were supposed to do horseback riding after the zipline and could have made it before the rain. Instead we did horseback riding first with a guide that brushed off all concerns...didn't gage the horseback to the rider, (and his looked like it had a lame leg), didn't consider which horses got along or liked to lead or follow, didn't help guests with concerns (like an elderly lady with a rubbing stirrup ring). The horses have no bits (so don't respond as well) and one had a strange gait. In short, a very unprofessional horse operation. By the time we got back for ziplining we were soaked (and would've had to go in the rain), so we passed. My advice is book horses separately from a real horse operation, and do the bigger separate zipline with the company with safety measures. A lot of people resell this Jacamar tour but I wouldn't recommend it.
