- La Fortuna Waterfall - The second adventure is at La Fortuna Waterfall. With an exotic swimming pool at its base and surrounded by huge rocky canyons, makes it a nice relaxing place. After this refreshing swim we will have lunch in our restaurant “La Finquita”.
- Arenal Volcano National Park - Following this we enjoyed a hike in at a reserve at the base of the Volcano, through the humid tropical forest for approximately 45 minutes to reach a block of petrified lava from past eruptions. There is the possibility of observing a great variety of plants, fauna, the magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano and the Arenal Lake.
- Paradise Hot Springs - A great day! Now, put on your bathing suit to relax in the hot springs. We will be there for a couple of hours and then have dinner at its restaurant.

Wonderful - This was a wonderful experience due to our guide Gustavo. He was very knowledgeable on the wildlife and the history surrounding La Fortuna. Bring your walking shoes.

Loved every minute! - First time to Costa Rica. Did the top 4 attractions tour on our first full day. We were worried it was going to be a long day, but the day was planned perfectly with the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. Our tour guide Melanie was absolutely amazing, so personable, knowledgable, and made it a wonderful experience for all. She was like an encyclopedia and we learned so much about Costa Rica, its culture, history, wildlife, education, etc. Although she was with us all day long, she never lost her enthusiasm, passion, and energy. So glad we did this tour on day 1. The bus served as our home base throughout the day for our things and Jacamar provided towels, water, etc. Can’t say enough good things about Jacamar tours – you can tell they place high emphasis on professionalism, safety, and creating a quality experience for its customers.

Top 4 Attractions tour was a great experience - We did the 4 adventure tour with Helen. She was amazing. Her knowledge and information were wonderful. We saw all kinds of birds, some lizards and frogs that we would not have seen without her guidance. We were lucky to have a beautiful weather day. The lunch at the farm was delicious - saw toucans there. My only suggestion would be to shorten the time at the last event - the hot springs, and dinner. Originally we were supposed to be picked up at 8:50. After such a long day, all of us were ready to leave by 7. We were able to get a Jacamar shuttle to pick us up then.

Perfect Combination Tour - We had an absolutely amazing time during our 4-in-1 combo tour in La Fortuna! We chose the Toboccan hot springs. We loved fitting so much in during our first full day in Costa Rica, while feeling like we got plenty of time during each activity. Our tour guide Melanie was extremely professional, friendly, inclusive, personable, knowledgeable, and fun! She made sure all of our needs and questions were met and answered. Definitely one of the best tour guides we have ever have!

Whew! What a Day! - This trip was action packed with lots and lots of walking. Our guide was great pointing out frogs, plants, birds and animals on the hike through the hanging bridges. Then she took us down to the Arenal waterfall, consisting of 500 steps down. We swam for a bit and made the trek back up the 500 steps. We are a delicious lunch overlooking a beautiful garden with birds. Then we took a hike around the volcano where our guide told us all about the volcano. The day concluded with swimming at the hot spring and a buffet dinner. It was a long, very active day. Would not recommend for young kids as it’s pretty strenuous (could easily be broken up over multiple days for the kids). But it was a great way to see a lot in a short time.

Incredible and DO NOT MISS!! - We could not have had a better time without the leadership of our tour guide, Hido and driver, Christaan. Hido was not only knowledgeable and friendly, but went above and beyond with his service! From helping identify animals and plants, taking photos, and genuinely helping us learn the beauty of Costa Rica, we could not have enjoyed ourselves more on the full day activity. Thank you Hido and Christaan for not only your hospitality, but for an unforgettable experience!!

A Must Do Tour for those on a Tight Schedule - I would highly recommend this trip for those who are on a tight schedule and want to squeeze in as much as they can while in Costa Rica.
Be prepared! This is a looonngg day. We got picked up at 7:30am and didn’t get back to our hotel until 9:30pm. It was well worth it though!
We had Diego as our tour guide. I think he single handedly made this trip as amazing as it was. He was extremely knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and Costa Rican culture. Without him, we would not have seen hardly anything. I still don’t understand how he picked out some of the animals we saw in the trees.
I was initially bummed because I forgot my binoculars, but I didn’t even need them. They use a powerful telescope type lens to find whatever it may be that you are looking at and they will take pictures with your phone through the lens. (See attached photos below).
We were able to see so much wildlife including an eyelash pit viper, rainbow billed toucans, 2 and 3 toed sloths, a bat, another snake and lizard and lots of birds as well as carpenter ants. We also saw coati and even a wild boar!
The hanging bridges in Mystico were a bit crowded due to it being busy season, but I honestly didn’t even mind much because we were still able to learn and see so much.
La Fortuna waterfall was absolutely beautiful. I would note, you have to walk down and then back up about 500 steps. So be aware of your physical capabilities before booking this. I use a FitBit and I had 20,000 steps by the end of the day.
My husband and I brought hiking boots, but we honestly could have gotten by with just tennis shoes. I would also highly recommend a raincoat or poncho because the weather changes so quickly. Bathing suit and sunscreen as well as water shoes are a good idea too. They provided us with towels, and of course lunch after the waterfall. Lunch was great. No complaints about the food.
After the waterfall and lunch we went to Arenal Volcano and hiked around the base for about 1.5 hours. I didn’t think this was too difficult of a hike, but again, be aware of your limitations. The hike is rocky and there are some steep parts.
After a long day we were dropped off at Ecotermales hot springs. The only thing I would say about this is that I wish it was still light out when we went. But honestly, there were plenty of lighted paths and other lights on the premises so it wasn’t too bad. They had buffet style dinner there too and it was pretty good.
My one critique would be if they could rearrange the order of the tour somehow so that you’re not swimming in a bathing suit, then hiking and then swimming again in the hot springs. It’s either a lot of changing or you’re stuck in a wet swim suit while hiking.
Overall I would 1000% recommend this tour.

Extremely Long day - Our guide Andres was great! We opted into the 4 excursions day which included Hanging bridges, Fortuna Falls, Volcano and Hotsprings with lunch and dinner included. For us it was personally way too long of a day. By the time we finished lunch we were ready to go back to our hotel but still had the volcano hike plus the hot springs remaining. 😅 I’d recommend 2 excursions MOST for one day
