Our skilled instructors offer comprehensive guidance.
We offer experiences in both Japanese and English daily. Additionally, sessions in Chinese (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) and Ukrainian/Russian (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) are available. French-speaking staff can be arranged upon request, but prior confirmation is necessary.

Insight into Japanese tea ceremonies - A friendly and interesting view into Japanese tea culture. Our tea master has been learning and practising the craft for many years which meant for a detailed insight into the ceremony.
We were able to wear kimonos which added to the experience and enjoyed a selection of Japanese sweets as well as getting the chance to whisk our own matcha.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an informative and friendly tea ceremony whilst in Kyoto!

Very educational, but... - Very educational, but relaxed and interesting experience. Learned about the history of the Japanese tea culture and it is very admirable how they keep their traditions alive.

Amazing Cultural experience - The tea ceremony was exceptional. We learned about the history of the practice in a preparation room. Then we had sweets and tea in the tea room. We also got to make our own tea. All the while the significant aspects were explained. It was a very nice experience, that everybody should do!The instructions were very helpful!! One of our favorite activities in kyoto!!!

Wonderful First Tea Ceremony Experience! - Amazing Tea Ceremony Experience!
I’m a Japanese-American from Hawaii, and this was my first time experiencing a tea ceremony! My relatives in Japan recommended this place, and I’m so glad we came. I wanted my family to experience Japanese culture as well, so we joined together.
The tea ceremony at Tea Ceremony & Cultural Experience Kangetsu Kyoto was easy to follow and incredibly enjoyable. They explained the history and traditions in a clear and engaging way, making it a relaxing and meaningful experience. The matcha and sweets were delicious, too!
I highly recommend this to anyone interested in Japanese culture. If I visit Kyoto again, I’d love to come back! 😊
