Kakuii - It was a cool experience. If you are into samurai, ninja, throwing shuriken, some sharp blades and the Japanese history, then this is for you.

Samurai and Ninja Museum Kyoto - Fantastic relics to demonstrate great historical narrative. Our guide (whose name I forgot 😣, it started with A) was very energetic and informative. The tour was also interactive- throwing ninja stars, handling weapons and costumes to pose for photos! My 8y.o and I had a wonderful experience 😊

Family Fun! - We had a great time at the museum. Guides were very informative and friendly. We had a lot of fun in the interactive parts, throwing the stars and dressing up!

A must see Museum Experience - Would definitely recommend pre booking the experience tour. Maika, the English speaking museum guide was very knowledgeable. Plenty of opportunities to take photos and actually hold both samurai & ninja weapons. Plus included a fun game of throwing an actual Shuriken (ninja throwing device) and dressing up as a samurai or ninja. Thanks also to Riku for helping with the costumes

A cool Samurai full immersion experience - It was such a fun experience! The tour was very informative and interactive. In the end, also included the chance to put on samurai armor or ninja outfit to make very cool photos. I highly recommend this tour 🥰

Fun and informative museum about samurai and ninjas - I chose a 9:30 AM time for this visit, hoping to have a small group for the tour, and it worked out. Arrival was efficient and there was a brief wait for the group to assemble, but there is also plenty to look at. Our tour guide, Saku, was fun and knowledgeable. She was also very helpful with taking pictures for solo travelers. The ninja star throwing and photo opportunity at the end were really neat! The armor and swords are impressive to see. It took about an hour to see everything. Google maps directions were easy to follow.

Great fun out of midday sun - Great fun throwing the ninja stars. Aoi our tour guide was very informative. Our teen children very much enjoyed it! Multiple examples of genuine samurai swords and battle armour.

Fun and interesting tour - Excellent tour with our 7 and 5 year old girls. Great guide and history of Japan. They loved the ninja experience and wanted to go again and again. Highly recommend.

Just OK - I agree with the other reviews and think I would have enjoyed the experience much better without guide interactions. The actual exhibition itself is very impressive but with the guide interactions I simply didn't get time to read about several key things. I know you can stay on afterwards but there is a lot to do and see in Kyoto so sometimes time is not in abundance.
