Highlights
  • Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine - Fushimi Inari Taisha is a revered Shinto shrine known for its iconic torii gates and deep spiritual importance. As one of Japan’s most frequented shrines, it provides a unique and enchanting experience that draws visitors globally.

The shrine is distinguished by its striking vermillion torii gates, forming a captivating pathway through the wooded slopes of Mount Inari. This symbolic route, called the Senbon Torii, guides visitors on a spiritual journey, symbolizing the transition between the physical realm and the divine.

  • Kiyomizu-dera Temple - Kiyomizu Temple is Japan’s largest and most renowned temple, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The surrounding Higashiyama district is a haven of traditional Japanese culture, with narrow lanes lined with traditional machiya houses, charming shops, and artisan studios offering an authentic glimpse of old Kyoto. The historic Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka sloping streets are particularly delightful, providing opportunities for exploration and discovery. Additionally, visitors can rent yukata to stroll around Kyoto and capture memorable photos.

  • Nanzen-ji Temple - Nanzenji Temple, situated at the base of Kyoto’s forested Higashiyama mountains, is one of Japan’s most significant Zen temples. It serves as the head temple of one of the schools within the Rinzai sect of Japanese Zen Buddhism and includes multiple subtemples, expanding the already extensive complex of temple buildings.

  • Ryoanji Temple - Ryōan-ji (The Temple of the Dragon at Peace) is a Zen temple in northwest Kyoto, Japan. It is part of the Myōshin-ji school of the Rinzai branch of Zen Buddhism. The Ryōan-ji garden is considered one of the finest examples of kare-sansui (“dry landscape”), a sophisticated type of Japanese Zen temple garden design featuring distinctive large rock formations set amidst smooth pebbles raked into linear patterns that aid meditation. The temple and its gardens are listed as one of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Kinkakuji Temple - Its renowned Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku), a pagoda built to house sacred Buddha relics, has earned this temple the popular name Kinkaku-ji (“Temple of the Golden Pavilion”), though its official name is Rokuon-ji, a branch temple of the Rinzai-sect Zen temple of Shokoku-ji. The temple was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

  • Kyoto Arashiyama Hanatouro - Arashiyama is a picturesque rural area in Kyoto known for its beautiful natural scenery and famous bamboo forest. Located on Kyoto’s western outskirts, Arashiyama combines historic charm with breathtaking landscapes, captivating visitors from around the world.
