The tea ceremony takes place at a local teacher’s home, featuring a traditional tea room and a small indoor garden. Led by a certified tea teacher from Kyoto, the class covers proper tea etiquette and welcomes any questions about the Way of Tea.
After the class, participants will know how to properly enjoy matcha tea, enabling them to recreate the experience at home. Contact us for reservations or inquiries.
Our tea room has been renovated to provide an authentic Japanese tea ceremony experience. Seating is on tatami, with chairs available if needed. Cushions are provided, and there is no requirement to sit in the formal seiza position.
