Fun and Unique! - We came early (15min) left our shoes at the door, put on the slippers found in the shoe boxes provided and made our way up the stairs.
We were welcomed by Sho at the door, where we were transformed into kindergarten Ninja… ready to learn the secret art.
Prepare for fun, learning many things and even trying to kill a foam bullseye by throwing chopsticks, knives and forks :)
A great experience to have, but beware… you will never look at kitchen utensils the same way again!

Absolutely amazing! - Book this!! We brought our five children (ages 5-12) and everyone had an incredible time. We learned so many skills and so much history from Sensei, who was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and very funny! She made every lesson accessible, taught each child according to their level of understanding, challenged us, and gave us an experience of a lifetime. We are deeply grateful for her kindness and generosity in sharing her knowledge and skills. Don't hesitate; if you are in Kyoto, this is truly a gem.

Amazing family experience! - This was probably one of our best times in Japan- all 8 of us took the lesson together. Ages 6 to 68. The instructor was patient with our 6 and 10 year olds, and humored us all when we stabbed him! We learned knives, darts, stars, ninja stealth and so much more. Please take the time to visit and learn with this great Dojo.

Amazing and Fun Ninja Experience - Our family had an incredible time at this Ninja workshop in Kyoto. The session was fun, hands-on, and full of energy from start to finish. We got to try different traditional ninja weapons, learn about stealth techniques, and discover fascinating facts about ninja history and culture.
The instructor gave great explanations and demonstrations — clear, engaging, and full of humor.
It was a perfect mix of learning and action — a truly unique cultural experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommended for families visiting Japan!

Fun - Fun for kids or adults who are kids at heart. This experience is touristy, but it feels authentic enough that it might even be the highlight of your trip. The instructor is very supportive and is good at giving directions. The staff is friendly. The store itself is well stocked, and the prices are cheaper than other tourist stores.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolute Must-Do in Kyoto! - We had a fantastic time at the Ninja Dojo and Store! We learned so much about ninjas — from using a secret door, blowing darts , to handling traditional weapons and even mastering how to walk like a ninja. The instructors made the whole experience fun, hands-on, and unforgettable. Out of everything we’ve done in Kyoto, this was by far the best experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Memorable in Kyoto - Great 2 hour session of learning ninja moves and training in various weaponry! I did it along with my 7 year old son, who is obsessed with ninjas and absolutely loved it! Would def recommend if you're in Kyoto!
