Government guide a no show! - The guide could not even find the pickup spot with street names and Google maps link!! He should not be a guide with such poor locating skills!!

Did not turn up. Terrible experience - Avoid this company. They did not turn up. Booked this company through GetYourGuide back in Oct 2023. I should have suspect as there was a lack of communication by them prior and other reviews I have now read have also had issues. After emailing them back in May with an itinerary I had done myself. I eventually got a quick reply on 30th May, saying they had got it. As the tour date approached I sent numerous messages, no response, until the evening prior to the tour on WhatsApp, not through GetYourGuide, saying the booking was showing as cancelled and there was no tour. After sending photo shots of my correct booking, they were talking about a different booking with a different booking number, they told me they had messaged GetYourGuide and I would have to wait for a response as they hadn't been paid!! This sounded like total rubbish. Messaged GetYourGuide, spent over an hour on the chat line then on the phone the next day. Konichiwa-japan, did not respond to messages GetYourGuide sent or answer the phone. After the meeting time has passed, I phoned Konichiwa-japan, they said I had no booking, even though I had sent them confirmation. He then put the phone down. Getting a refund accepted was also a total nightmare. My last message to this company was, if I had no booking, why did they send me an email confirming they had received my itinerary on 30th May, with a screenshot of it. No reply received. Total waste of my valuable time, a refund in no way covers the aggravation and time wasted. They are a disgrace.

What experience... they cancelled after hearing we had a wheelchair. - If I could give this tour a negative number, I would. They clearly state it's wheelchair accessible, yet after hearing that we had one, they cancelled on us. This was last minute, leaving us to fend for ourselves.

Poor service - Guide Never showed up after a long wait and we are looking for a refund. This is despite our calling the inquiry phone number and leaving two messages. No one answered just a voice mail message. I have sent a explanation E Mail to the tour operator Konnichiwa - japan but no response to date. Alllan Ronneseth

Do not book this tour. ... - Do not book this tour. Our one day in Kyoto ruined. Contact made the night before the tour saying "kyoto st will be the meeting spot". Not clear instructions at all, and no further contact. I provided them my mobile number and WhatsApp details. Called the phone number, no answer - answering machine in Japanese. I should have read all the other poor review. Take your money and no service. Viator are very understanding and have refunded part of the cost but not full amount - still speaking with them.
