Not worth the effort. - Long bus ride to a Tori gate in a lake. Can’t take clear pictures of except with a fancy camera. The museum is lovely but India is missing and it’s a big omission given the character of the exhibits (not just because I am Indian but it actually is relevant in the context of the museum). And the last Zen garden was tiny. Not a day trip worth taking for sure.

Do not book. Pathetic tour. Scam - Honestly pathetic showing from the tour company, the main attraction (Miho museum) was closed. They knew ahead of time and did not inform any of the participants of this change until we were 2hrs away from Kyoto. We only did 1 of the listed activities. Also had to pay admission fees to the newly added itinerary which obviously we didn't sign up for or at the least we weren't informed prior to the drive. The tour is also listed as English speaking, which it is %100 not that. They weren't even Japanese speaking. This is basically a scam that fleeces your money. Don't book it, do it yourselves. A taxi hire (which is what it was essentially) would have been cheaper.
