A must do experience! - Would highly recommend this experience! Celeste, Lucy & Emily along with the men were all so accommodating and helpful. The experience provided a good balance of history and participation. The team encouraged participants to look around the residence at the end and try the drum and singing pots. The team take photos and email them to you at no additional charge. I attended with my husband and son but I did not purchase a ticket as I did not want to do it. The staff were very kind to allow me to watch, take photos/videos and participate in the meditation at the end. So happy we chose this experience, would highly recommend. Thank you for being kind and allowing me to feel included.

Absolutely awesome learned to be a samurai do it - I definitely would give this a 5 out of five thoroughly enjoyed it safe professional and really truly felt learned about Samurai culture life and most importantly and most fun how to use a sword. The fact that it takes place in what was once a Samurai's home really adds to the whole sensation of reliving the past highly recommend it to anybody who would long over the culture and get a little bit of adrenaline rush by throwing a sword

Fun experience for adults and kids! - Great overview of the samurai history and fun hands-on opportunity to try the swords. Kids and adults all had a great time!

Great Samurai Experience - I really didn't want to go to the Samurai class at first. I thought it would be super touristy and goofy but it turns out it was fabulous. The teachers and interpretors were so knowledgeable, GO! You'll love it.

Unique experience, highly recommend - slightly pricey but worth it - Excellent opening experience to my Kyoto visit - well executed! The event was held at the actual home of a former samurai and his family, and forms a great backdrop to the experience and an instructional aid. The katana training was super memorable - the instructors were very calm and patient and made us very comfortable as we prepared to wield it ourselves. The Zen meditation that followed was the cherry on the cake. Overall - highly recommend, and though I do think it is slightly pricey, it is worth it - something different from the usual sightseeing routine!

A must do experience - Absolutely fantastic experience, from the moment you walk through the front gate you feel transported back. The staff were great and very welcoming, the Samurai demonstrations amazing and being trained to yield a Samurai sword was exciting and nervous at the same time.
