Guided walking tour of Kyoto - The guided walking tour of Kyoto with Ikki and Juntaro was a great experience! They both were so hospitable and welcoming that I felt like we were exploring the city with friends. They have amazing insights of everything about the city and took us to many picturesque areas. I appreciated that they also took photos of our group at every stop and shared them with us on the same day. I am also very thankful of Juntaro for hanging back from the group to make sure my mom, who is not as fast a walker as everyone else, has company. I highly recommend this tour!

Must do Kyoto Tour - We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Ikki and his colleague. Both so friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to really explain things as well as wanting to get to know us. I would highly recommend doing this tour on your first morning in Kyoto to get to know the area and then Ikki also gave us many recommendations of things to see and do for our time in Kyoto

Walking tour of Kyoto, guided by kind and friendly locals, Ikky and Jun Tao! - The walking tour was excellent, fun, and informative. The tour guides, Ikky and June Tao, were fantastic. They took us to see the Temples and Shrines in Kyoto! They explained the differences, how to do the prayers, and the different traditions and beliefs. Took us to the picturesque spots, took photos of us, and shared them digitally that day. During the tour, my son lost his phone at the train stop. Jun Tao went with us to retrieve it, and we hopped off the train and returned four train stops back. We were so fortunate; the phone was still on the seat where it had fallen out of his pocket. The tour was excellent; the vacation could have been a disaster, but the guides were so kind and gracious as to come with us to look for it. Thank you, Ikky and Jun Tao, for a great tour and for sharing your hometown of Kyoto with our friends and family. Kyoto is so beautiful, and we have found the people there to be safe and honest as well.

Worth getting up early for - Having Ikki as our personal guide made for a great tour. He had good energy and was very knowledgeable about all things Kyoto (since he was born & raised here.) We could ask him anything. He also took great photos of us that we would’ve never been able to do ourselves. Would highly recommend as a way to spend a morning seeing some of the most famous sights in the city - especially in good weather!

Kyoto Day Tour with the Best Guide - Ikki-San! - We had an unforgettable day exploring Kyoto with our tour guide, Ikki-San. From the start, we were impressed with his exceptional communication skills and his ability to answer our endless questions with both depth and humor. His knowledge of Japanese history, traditions, and the unique character of Kyoto’s temples, shrines, and neighborhoods enriched every moment of our tour. We mentioned our hope to see cherry blossoms, even though we knew we’d arrived a week too early for the full bloom. Ikki-San went above and beyond-he led us to a single, early-blooming cherry tree in Gion, a beautiful spot with a 200-year-old legacy. It was a highlight we’ll never forget. Along the way, we were able to stop at the popular Arabica coffee shop for delicious matcha lattes, a perfect taste of Kyoto’s famous tea culture. There was so much to see and do, and Ikki-San made every moment count. We mentioned we wanted to try some great ramen in Kyoto but didn’t know where to go and he sent us a curated list of ramen restaurant recommendations, making sure our culinary adventure continued long after the tour. We are so glad to have selected this tour! Arigato gozaimasu, Ikki-San, for a truly wonderful experience that will be etched in our memories. We look forward to touring with you again when we return to Kyoto!
