Spooky and Fun - We walked around a bamboo forest at night, and saw a bunch of different landmarks with different tragic stories by them. The atmosphere was creepy, and really kept people on edge. I enjoyed it a lot!

Surreal experience - The experience was very authentic. My friends and I had a great time. Not only was it interesting, we learned a lot about Japanese folktales. Would recommend.

Spooky! - This a was a fun ghost tour! I have to admit, it was a bit spookier than I expected - and I’ve taken a lot of ghost tours. Aaron was a great guide! He was kind and had a good sense of humor as well. My two young adult sons and husband enjoyed the tour too!! Definitely a different way to experience the bamboo forest!

True crime and ghosts - Such a fun tour! Our guide Aaron got us drinks and shared some great creepy stories. We had such a fun time and it was quite creepy. If you like ghost stories and true crime this is the tour for you!

Must try this tour - Even though we arrived 30 minutes late the guide still waited for us and made the group stay behind for us. The park looked amazing at night the stories we were told were built up perfectly and the ambience of the area added to the thrill. Our guide was an amazing story teller knew just how to build up suspense and fear and was very helpful. The haunted walk through the forest alone was really thrilling and sent a chill down our spines. The ending scenery in the park was amazing as well. Overall amazing experience

Test of courage with local lore - Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun listening to local stories about ghosts and spooky mysteries. They really set the mood for the night. The trek through Arashiyama to the bamboo forest went at a nice pace and the actual walk through the bamboo was a real test of courage eventhough it was a clear night with plenty of moonlight. This was definitely a unique and memorable experience!

Would recommend - Very fun time! The stories were great, and it was scary. You even get a free drink to go enjoy while walking so you can drink with the ghosts! It was also very beautiful

Scary and funny - I would like to recommend this experience for anyone looking for an alternative night in Kyoto and is passionate about scary stories. The guide is fun and immediately puts you at ease. I liked the emphasis on stories that actually happened rather than just having a scary walk. The forest is very suggestive at night and without people, it's worth it just for this.

Good spooky fun. - Tour was alot of fun, with some genuinely spooky moments. Was an interesting and unique way to experience the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest! Part of the tour has you walk alone through the forest, there is an eerie sensation walking alone through the dark bamboo forest listening to the pitter patter of soft rain and the whispers of the wind in the stalks The stories were interesting and more local and personal to the tour guide than I expected which was a nice surprise. It was a cool night with a little drizzle but that only added to the ambiance, one of the other participants scored the tour low because of this, but the weather can't be controlled and the tour guide asked if he'd be ok in the tee shirt and shorts he'd elected to wear. To get the most out of the tour I'd suggest going in with a respectful and open frame of mind, if want to joke and laugh then this isn't the tour for you, that only ruins not only your experience but breaks the spooky vibe for the rest of the group.
