Absolutely loved it 🥰 - 10/10 would recommend. The food was amazing and our tour guide Chika was very bubbly and passionate. She didn’t make us eat anything we didn’t want to.

Amazing experience! - We had such a great experience on our food tour with Chika! A true foodie, Chika shared a lot of cool food & cultural fun facts during our tour of Nishiki Market and three izakayas. She was a great person to talk to and took us to some really delicious places. She was also kind enough to share her personal recommendations for other places to go to during our stay in Japan. Highly recommend!!!

Best Food Tour Ever! - My husband and I love doing food tours when we travel and this was definitely one of the best food tours we have ever done. Our tour guide Chikako was amazing! We think she managed to blend the perfect amount of cultural information, history, and personal preferences/recommendations. Chikako was so friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. As for the food, oh my goodness...it was all amazing! We got to try such unique and delicious dishes. Definitely do not eat a big lunch before this tour! We also appreciated that drinks were included in our stops. We got to try a variety of sake and other alcoholic beverages. I would recommend this food tour to anyone and everyone!

Delicious and Informative - Had an amazing tour with our guide Taishi. We learned so much about the local cuisine and drinks and were able to gain a better understanding of what Kyoto had to offer. The food at each stop had a unique speciality. It was really fun and Taishi was super helpful with finding new restaurants to try and giving recommendations on what to go. I would highly recommend for anybody looking for a delicious and informative food tour!

Fun evening with lots of unique food and a great guide! - This food tour was one of the best I have ever done. Our guide Taishi made the experience very enjoyable. He took us to multiple places that we never would have found just walking around on our own. Additionally, at each location, we were able to get lots of small dishes, allowing everyone in the group to try so many different foods by the time the night ended. I would highly recommend this food tour with Taishi!

An amazing tour of Kyoto's local food - This was a FANTASTIC food tour! We got to tour through some really iconic areas of Tokyo while also trying some amazing and authentic Japanese food. I really loved that the food on this tour wasn't the "typical" izakakaya fare, and was more focused on the delicacies and special dishes of the area of Kyoto. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in the food of Kyoto. Our tour guide was amazing, super knowledgeable and very friendly. she effortlessly led our group through the neighborhood while keeping us informed and engaged. It was raining a bit during our tour, and this didn't "dampen" her (or our) spirits enjoyment at all! Now, this one can be hard to find on these platforms, and I had to book direct through ninja food tours. But it was well worth doing!

Great foodie tour through Kyoto - We had a fun night where we tried a bunch of food we wouldn’t have even thought about trying if on our own. Chikako was a great tour guide and met us with some sparking (?) sake before walking us through Nishiki markets and on to 3 izakayas. We tried eel, monk fish liver and ray - all which were delicious and none of which we would have tried if not on this tour. We have older teenagers with us and a pescatarian and they were seamlessly accomodated. Thanks Chika for a great night. Thanks China for a fabulous night and also for teaching us more about Kyoto, its history and sake!!!

Just arrived in Kyoto? Book this for tonight! - What a great experience for our English speaking family. Our guide, Taishi is truly bilingual and his English is indistinguishable from our own. No communication barriers here. We had some food allergies in our group and he took them seriously and planned a tour that accommodated those restrictions in the most delightful way. We not only had a great foodie experience but learned a lot about Kyoto at the same time. I highly recommend this tour when you arrive to Kyoto and see if you can have Taishi assigned to you, he’s great!

Kyoto food night tour - Our guide, Chikako, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave an unforgettable tour. We learned a lot and sampled so many great spots. She started off the tour with a sake toast and made us feel welcome. It has been our favorite part of our Japan trip yet!
