Unforgettable tour of northern Kyoto - Amazing tour with Kevin. Perfect amount of knowledge, context and history along the entire tour while allowing us to enjoy the stunning temples, vistas and hidden back alleys as we biked through all Kyoto. Felt like we truly got to know the city and came away with a sense of appreciation for this splendid place. So glad we decided to take this unforgettable tour.

Easy-Going Adventure - Julian took us all around the west, north, and east side of Kyoto. We stopped at all the major temples and shrines and were able to get out and explore the sites. The ride was so gentle with only very very minor incline heading north at the beginning. An electric bike is really not necessary. Julian made navigating the streets and traffic procedures simple. The lunch he chose for us was at a nice rotating sushi bar that also had western foods to choose from. Our bike group was small with only an additional couple joining us. Overall, this 5.5 hour journey was such an efficient way to sightsee Kyoto AND have someone who tells you the history and stories.

The best way to see the highlights of Kyoto in a day - Firstly the weather wasn't kind, it was cold and wet, but I still had the best time and it was the highlight of my Kyoto trip. I was a solo traveller but Jay (our guide) with Dutch Frank and Stuart made me feel welcome and were great fun. With his 13 years in Japan, New Yorker Jay was an exceptional guide and an interesting personality. Lunch was included and Jay took us to a small local cafe (Nishijin Yebiya) with fantastic food. Highly recommended, thanks Jay.

Amazing way to experience the city - My wife and I did the Kyoto north tour with Juan and had an amazing day riding the city, visiting shrines and temples, and eating at one of Juan’s favorite spots for lunch. Juan was helpful, very knowledgeable about the city/culture/history, and a great hang. The tour had a great mix of riding around and taking breaks to visit temples and shrines. They offer electric bikes so those who want to have an easier ride can have a fun day doing this tour. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing this. Arigato gozaimas, Juan!

Biking Kyoto on a very chilly morning. - Juan Santana is our biking tour specialist, he is very responsible tour guide and we feel safe biking all over Kyoto because of his experience. He guided us safely on the streets, made us drive like local bike riders and most of all took us to very authentic soba place for the lunch for some well needed rest. We rode the bike on a cloudy day, intermittent sunshine and a very chilly morning of 2 degrees centigrade.

Biking Kyoto - Great way to experience Kyoto, winding streets off the beaten path with informative stops in between. Refreshing to move faster than a walk but outside of trains, buses or taxis.

Awesome Bike Tour for Kids, too! - Best family bike tour ever. Quin was patient and so knowledgeable. We saw many amazing spots, took pics and had the best ramen. We had bikes that could hold our kids too! Amazing time!

An otherwise great cycle, spoiled by a terribly rude and unprofessional tour guide - I am shocked to say the least after booking the tour following the raving reviews. However on turning up on the day, the whole trip was spoilt by a condescending, unprofessional and frankly rude tour guide. - The whole trip felt like a drag to the guide, who responded to our questions condescendingly, and in some instances scarcity. -On several occasions when asking about Kyoto he would respond with "I do not know I am from Osaka", so why use this tour guide? - On several other instances the guide made frankly covert racist remarks about "foreigners" ruining Japan, which I thought was ironic since he was saying it to foreigners. - Moreover, the guide would constantly sound irritated progressively throughout the trips when being asked questions. As if they had been annoyed at being asked the same questions by many different people (do not become a tour guide then). -The tour guide took us to a horribly expensive lunch, where the menu was limited and was annoyed when we asked him to explain the ordering system, which was in Japanese. Overall what was a great cycle, was ruined by a terrible guide.
