What a wonderful time! - What a wonderful and relaxing experience! We arrived, were checked in and went with another family to be dressed, men and woman separate. We had our choice of beautiful kimonos, flowers for our hair, received a handbag to carry what we wanted, and shoes/socks. We were helped by the women to be dressed properly and they did do a simple style for our hair. Makeup was not included. You get time to take some pictures in different settings ups and then move on to the sweets and tea making ceremony. With the help of your instructor it was very easy to make our flower sweet, and then we learned the ritual of making matcha. From start to finish it was very informative and interesting. Would highly recommend!

Great experience! - Fantastic experience. My 10-year-old son and I attended the tea ceremony. The tea master give us an great overview of the history of tea ceremonies and it’s origins. We also had a Fantastic experience. We also had a brief meditation session which was quite Zen. Highly recommend if your child wants to experience a traditional tea ceremony with a touch of spirituality :)

Authentic, Fantastic Japanese Experience - This was by far one of our favorite Japanese experiences. We were able to pick out our favorite kimono and obi and lovely ladies dressed us and did our hair. As for the tea ceremony, our two instructors couldn't have been sweeter. They demonstrated the tea ceremony and gave informative instructions. We learned all about the tea traditions. Would definitely recommend this adventure. We had a blast!!

Amazing! - This was such a beautiful and enlightening experience! It was nice to not have to find a kimono place before going to a tea ceremony, it was all in one.

A must in Kyoto - Great and exciting experience. Also put on the kimono and the hair styling were great. You were allowed to choose everything yourself, but was also great supported. The ceremony itself was very exciting and it was fun to make your own matchatee.
