Sword play for all - Excellent experience, very fun for the whole family. Very informative in the samurai customs and history. The museum was also full of fun historical facts and artifacts. The ninja star throwing was a nice touch and the costume section was the icing on top. I would recommend to anyone looking to explore ninja and samurai culture in the area.

Ninja and samurai museum with experience Kyoto - Great ninja training with sensei Shin and great presentation with Aya. We were able to practice with the shuriken and the different weapons, as well as compete with each other on skills. We did the museum tour and learned a lot of helpful information. Definitely a must experience in Kyoto.

Less of a museum, more of a costume party - I was more interested in the museum part than the experience part. While I really liked our guide there just wasn't enough content to make me feel like it was a good value. e.g. they had a lot of cool items in their museum with placards explaining what they were but you couldn't really look at them because you had to move to another room after the guide was done speaking. Dressing up as a samurai, throwing fake ninja stars, etc didn't appeal to me so I skipped that part and I expect that's actually the main attraction for this place - the museum is just an after thought.
