• Prometheus Cave - Kumistavi is renowned for the legend of Amirani, which gives the “Cave of Prometheus” its resonant name. According to the legend, Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the Gods and faced severe punishment. An eagle tormented him by eating his liver; however, unlike the Greek giant, the cruel Gods chained Amirani not to a rock, but inside a vast cave. Khvamli Mountain is visible from Prometheus Cave, where the legend says Prometheus was bound. Enjoy spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and cave lakes. The cave is illuminated with colorful lights, ranging from orange-red to pink and blue.
