Aussie animals at close quarters. - Excellent viewing of a lot of the Aussie animals, birds and butterflies! Encounter with a koala was precious. Can be done in about 2-3 hours and then enjoy a very quaint village in the rainforest.

Great fun - I loved my visit to the Koala Gardens! There were so many animals and reptiles to see; I was lucky enough to get a koala cuddling photo with little Kiki which was so fun! The staff were so pleasant and spammed my phone with photos of myself and Kiki, as well as taking a professional photo for me. I loved being able to interact with the wallabies and hand feed them.

Awesome Experience - This place exceeded my expectations! As an Australian tourist, I was’t super excited at the idea of seeing Koalas for $20 but we purchased the combo pass which included entry to this place. The Koala Gardens actually have heaps of native Australian animals including Kangaroos, Wallabies, Snakes, Wombats and Crocodiles. We were also able to feed the Wallabies which was really cool. I really enjoyed visiting and would highly recommend for anyone visit Kuranda.

Best Koala experience - Got to touch a koala since not all experiences allow you to touch one. The care takers are dedicated and loving to the koalas… it shows and the koalas reciprocate by showing trust, giving nose kisses to their care givers.

Koalas, Wallabies, Butterflies and even a Black Swan - The Kuranda Wildlife Experience is all it is advertised to be. The setting is up in the tropical mountains above Cairns. We enjoyed the Koala Gardens, Bird World, and the Butterfly Sanctuary. In the Koala Gardens we were able to get up close to and pet Koalas, hand feed Wallabies, and watch a wide array of Australian animals both plentiful in the country and endangered. In the Butterfly Sanctuary we felt fully immersed in a world of color and grace. The docents available to explain the delicacies of butterflies as well as their strengths really enhanced the experience. But it was truly amazing to have the butterflies land on our shoulders, heads, and arms. Bird World felt very open-air. The variety, colors, and personalities of the birds was quite engaging. Many were very willing to climb onto a gently extended hand or even find themselves comfortably perched on a shoulder or even a head. The array of birds in seemingly natural habitats, including their ability to fly around freely, was truly a highlight. We highly recommend this experience.

Koala love and more - Great place, not overly big so can keep the little ones entertained by moving through the sections quick. Fantastic photo opportunities throughout and it gave the kids a good experience in seeing a number of Australian animals in a small space. A good number of Koalas on display, we didn't do any of the add one but see that the Koalas used for photos are well looked after. Loved the Wombats especially seeing them out during the day. Feeding the roos/wallabies was a small thrill for the kids, but if you want to do this there are better places about. Rounding out the tour allowed you to see some other animals and reptiles on display and yes the crocs are real though they seemed to love having a good laze about in the sun. Allow 45 mins to get around if you are reading and taking pics, can do it much quicker if on a time restriction.

Worth a visit when in Kuranda - Loved this place! Koalas, wallabies and other wildlife. I also held a koala and got a photo- this is an additional expense.

Great little park to visit - Although small, the parked offered beautiful surroundings and many animals to see. We enjoyed the kangaroo feeding and koala holding experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kuranda. We recommend getting the combined ticket with Birdworld and the Butterfly Sanctuary for best value and to make the most of the day

Lovely Exhibits - Visited Bird World, Butterfly Garden and Koala Garden. Interesting exhibits especially at Bird World. You get to come up close with the birds. Koala Garden could do better as the place seems not very well maintained.
