Stroking the koala - A great little zoo, with koalas, kangaroos and crocodiles. We were allowed to pet koalas and take pictures here, thank you for this perhaps unique opportunity.

this attraction a must for visitors to Queensland - very enjoyable, seeing and holding a koala, and the other amazing wildlife here. One small criticism would be the macropod area, in my opinion too small for the wallabies to be able to hop around. Otherwise, all good, 3 hours well spent.

Peaceful - Getting to hold a koala while getting my photo taken, and being able to feed some kangaroos and wallabies

Good day in kuranda - Too great little family owned parks say a hour each is about right . Just to note the koala pictures are stood by the animal touching it rather than holding it as in past years . $28 for 1 person in a pic price goes up a bit depending on people numbers

I'd like to come baxk! - I liked Birdworld better than Koala Gardens. Birds are wonderful, very active, with a lot of coordination and very diverse sounds. I loved it. . I bought tickets for both Birdworld and Koala Gardens at 2 p.m. but at that time the wombat and the koalas were asleep, (you also have to take into account the habits of the animals, the koalas usually sleep a lot). At 2:30 p.m. there was something like a session to meet the animals, feed them and pet them, but I couldn't stay because I had other plans. The kangaroos are very friendly. There are also some crocodiles and snakes. Both Zoos are small, compared to others I have visited, but they are beautiful. Also note that the Skyrail back to Smithfield makes its final run at 3:15 p.m.

A good place to visit. - Loved the Koala Park and Bird world. However, I don't agree with having pictures taken with Koalas, they should be left alone. Some of the enclosures appeared too small for some of the other animals. A good place to visit and feeding the birds was a highlight, especially after a Macaw sat on my head!

Koala gardens more like koala enclosure - $21 entry- poor attractions on a very small scale- barely lasted 30 minutes to see everything. Would not recommend and wish hadn’t wasted money on this.

Cruel - All the koalas are in small enclosures hardly anywhere to go made to be held all day and touched by people. Extremely cruel I really regret giving them money.

No entry to see the Birds if you wear jewelry or have visible piercings! - This has always been our favorite place. We love the birds but were refused entry because of a rule which has NOT been advertised on the web site. If you have any kind of visible piercings or are wearing a lot of necklaces or bracelets they MUST all be removed before you are allowed in. For us this was difficult whilst standing at the entrance and should be in the rules of sales and entry. You should be told this when buying tickets online and not have to go up to Kauranda and then lose your money because you are NOT allowed entry. I understand the reason was that the birds will pull and tug on the jewelry BUT they should have said BEFORE! No one seemed to care about our efforts either.
