Brilliant! - I LOVED this place. I kept going back to have more time with the birds, many are rescues and hand-reared and very friendly. The staff are wonderful- so kind, friendly and informative. If I could live here I would!

Beautiful Birds to See! - Beautiful Birds to see, they were very calm and friendly. Quite a few different species in Birdworld. I got to see the Cassowary up close which my younger sister enjoyed.

So good don’t miss it 👌 - It was so good, honestly didn’t expect much and loved every minute, the birds are amazing, I have never had an experience like it, will go again 💯 Make sure you buy the bird food when you enter and go as early as possible, you can hand feed the birds they come to you!

Fun the birds got up close - It was a lot of fun and the birds got up close - kids loved it and would recommend a visit. A lot of opportunities with photos with the birds I had like 4 on me at one stage.

Unique experience - A wonderful bird world interacting with us humans 💕 It was simply wonderful to see how we (birds & humans) got closer to each other and how such unique experiences arose! A visit to Birdworld Kuranda is highly recommended.

Pricey but worth the experience if you like birds. - Amazing little Avery where the birds are interactive and want to approach you for food, the Avery isn’t very big, if you don’t like birds you would be in and out in 5 minutes, you can spend as short or as long as you like here, admission is probably a bit expensive for what it is, though it’s an experience you should do.

Fun way to interact with birds - We took the train up to Kuranda and it was a nice walk from the station to birdworld. My husband is a big bird lover and was very happy to be able to persuade a couple of them to stick with him for most of the walk through the aviary. At one point, he had three birds of the same species on him-one of which said hello over and over again. I got some great pictures of him and his new friends. Our visit was relatively short but pleasant. They also found the color of my baseball cap attractive apparently..a new experience to have a bird land on my head.

Disappointing - This is very touristy and not what we expected. Not many of the birds were Australian, yet alone local to the area. Indian ring necked parrots flocked for food sitting on heads, necks and shoulders making good photo opportunities - however we were concerned about so many people spreading human disease to these birds. The cassowary needed a much larger area to roam and looked rather sad. Not the place to visit if you are a real bird lover.
