Must-do Malaysian Activity - This was a wonderful few hours spent with Fizah. Fizah welcomed me into her beautiful home for an authentic experience. Fizah was organised for the class and very patient with all the questions I had. I learnt a lot of techniques that I can take and try back home. I loved that when we were doing certain steps, Fizah would tell me how her mum taught her to do certain things. The best part was really getting to know Fizah and her partner, Roman, as we shared what we had cooked. Fizah also gave me lots of great advice re how to spend time in Malaysia and I'll definitely be back to spend more time here. We spoke about Malaysian culture, too. All in all, it was a wonderful day that gave me lots of special memories. This really is the authentic, in-house cultural experience you must try while in Malaysia.

Great hands on cooking class - What a fabulous day learning to make nasi lemak and kuih gula melaka. Fizah's recipes and cooking tips were great. We really enjoyed the hands on approach to the preparation and cooking. The sambal was sooo good and we loved making (and eating) the kuih gula melaka. Fizah is an excellent teacher and is very engaging. She even organised a birthday cake for one of our group who was celebrating her 60th birthday which was so lovely. Would definitely recommend this class if you are keen to learn some traditional Makaysian dishes.

The BEST Malaysian Cooking Class - My sister and I had an awesome time at this home-based Malaysian cooking class—totally fun and super chill! We jumped right into making traditional dishes with fresh ingredients, and our friendly host broke everything down in a simple but informative way. We got to enjoy the delicious food we made together with Fizah (the host) and her husband. Having discussions whilst cooking allowed us to understand Malay culture and lifestyle more deeply. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to have a blast while learning some tasty Malaysian cooking skills!
