The cocktails, the food, the guide all amazing - The guide - First of all, a big thank you to our guide Denny who went above and beyond showing us all the well kept cocktail bar secrets. We loved knowing him, his history but also the history of this town as well of Malaysia. The tour - the different things you taste along the way is yummy for your tummy. The cocktails are also very nice. And then a couple of views we got along the way. You will get full that’s a promise. And more - he took the time for us and showed us much more. We went back to the tips he gave us. It’s was really worth it. It’s a little bit different kind of food tour and we loved it and would do it again. So when in KL this is a great way to start in the big hectic city.

KL in a Nutshell - Simply Enak's Jackie was a great tour guide for our "Secrets of KL" tour! The spots and small bites we had were really delicious. Street stalls and brick-and-mortar restaurants were both featured. Rooftop bars and hidden speakeasy spots also popped up. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to have a friendly local show you around cool spots and hear about the history of Malaysia and how Kuala Lumpur is changing from past to present.

Great food and drinks in Kuala Lumpur - Fantastic tour that took us to some hidden gems in Kuala Lumpur. We discovered fantastic little speakeasy’s and great food spots. The highlight was a street food dinner in Chinatown that was incredibly good. Would highly recommend.

If you do just one tour in KL, I recommend this one! - This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to KL. To combine street food, cocktails and street art if pure genius! Our guide, Danny was super friendly and informative, both on the history of KL and great places to visit. We never would have found the hidden bars without him. Danny also gave us great recommendations for places to go on the remainder of our trip. If you do just one tour in KL, I recommend this one!

Great Look at KL After Dark (and in the rain!) - Danny led a great walk around Petaling Jaya Street market area to see the evening hot spots, excellent food choices and the street art. It poured rain for most of the time but Danny managed successfully around it. We darted from one spot to the next. We particularly enjoyed the street food.

SECRETS OF KL – NIGHTLIFE, STREET ART, COCKTAILS & CRAFT BEERS! - I loved doing this tour with Pauline. She’s a lovely, warm person and we had a lot to chat about while she showed me around Chinatown and surrounding streets. We tried a great mixture of foods, including fruit, cakes, drinks, noodle & chocolate. She took us for a cocktail in a great location, and showed me a couple of other “secret” cocktail bars that I’d never have found by myself. I look forward to trying them when I have a last night in KL at the end of my trip. We also had a look at some amazing street art. Pauline knows a lot about the area and all the food on offer. She was generous with her advice for things I could do on my own the next day. I highly recommend this tour.

Tasted the real authentic Malaysian flavours! - Great to learn from the authentic Malaysian cooks. The dishes came with a clear description and patience from the cooks to explain the ingredients and steps to take. The wonderfull smell in our kitchen and the taste of the dishes made us feel like being in Malaysia. The internet connection was super, the course very easy to follow. Would definitely join one again one day to learn more.

Fun & fascinating virtual tour! - There is no need for a virtual reality headset or any fancy gadgets to enjoy this experience – we simply logged in and followed Pauline in her Zoom ‘live stream’ as she meanders her way through the bustling Chow Kit Market! Being the melting pot that the market is, Pauline was eloquent in describing every engrossing fact at each stop that she made. Pauline’s depth and breadth of experience was evident as she articulately narrated the history and trivias of the market. Pauline made it interactive too – our experience was enhanced as she chatted with the peddlers and asked us if we have any questions for them. We could really soak up the atmosphere of the market! It can be hard to know what to eat and where in KL, but Pauline took us through on an incredible array of street food. There were street vendors and hidden eateries, and Pauline presented and described each street food sampled with such detail, that it got me going ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’! We could only salivate! We got a good glimpse of Malaysian culture too, just from the virtual sampling of the street food. The covid-19 fiasco has made physical tours challenging for now; however, this brilliant product from Simply Enak has afforded us with the opportunity to still ‘travel’ and experience such sights, sounds and tastes, all while still being in the comfort and safety of my own home. That’s social-distancing fulfilled! This Virtual Experience makes touring Chow Kit Market and savouring Malaysian street food very well within my virtual reach. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and is indeed the next best thing to a physical tour. Highly recommended.
