- Virgin Mary’s House - The first visit of the day will be to the last home of the Virgin Mary. Upon arrival, visitors will be captivated by the natural beauty surrounding the monument. The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains, 5 miles from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council in 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the house’s discovery, the Archbishop of Izmir declared it a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited and prayed there.
- Selcuk - Guests will stop at a traditional Turkish restaurant for lunch. Afterward, they will experience a traditional handicraft cooperative and receive a lecture about the special arts of Turkish villagers.
- The Basilica of Saint John - Another tour visit will be to this ancient Basilica dedicated to the author of Revelation, St. John. According to legend, St. John died in this church after writing the Fourth Gospel, and the Basilica was built by Emperor Justinian over St. John’s burial place.
- Ephesus Archaeological Site - At the end of the tour of Ephesus and its surroundings, guests will be dropped off at the cruise port or their hotel in Kusadasi or Bodrum, depending on their pick-up location. If they booked the ‘from-to Istanbul Hotels’ option, they will be transferred to Izmir Airport for their return flight to Istanbul.
