• Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - We will drive for approximately 30 minutes to reach our first stop, the House of the Virgin Mary. This house is situated on the Aladag Mountains, 5 miles from Ephesus. During the third Ecumenical Council in Ephesus in 431 AD, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the house was discovered, the Archbishop of Izmir declared it a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited and prayed at this site.
• Ancient City of Ephesus - Our tour continues with a visit to the Ancient City of Ephesus, one of Turkey’s main highlights. Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of the Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor), is located near Izmir. As a port city, it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor.

Stroll through history along marble streets lined with remarkable public buildings, including the Baths of Scholastica and the Library of Celsus, which was constructed in the early 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila in memory of his father, Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of the Province of Asia. The Temple of Hadrian and the Grand Theater are two of the most impressive structures in Ephesus. The Grand Theater, built in the 3rd century B.C., was later expanded by the Romans in the 1st century A.D. to accommodate 24,000 spectators.

• Ephesus Terrace Houses - The Terrace Houses (included in two options: Private with Terrace Houses and Group with Terrace Houses; not included in the without Terrace Houses option) are located on the slopes of Pion Mountain. There are six residential units built on three man-made terraces, inhabited by wealthy citizens of Ephesus. These houses were lavishly decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to climb from bottom to top, making it unsuitable for those with walking difficulties or acrophobia (fear of heights).
• The Temple of Artemis - Our final stop is the Temple of Artemis for photo opportunities.
• Kusadasi Gazi Begendi Park - We will pass by Gazi Begendi Park, which offers the best view of the town.
• Kusadasi - Arrival in Kusadasi and drop-off at Kusadasi port. This marks the end of our services.
