So different from what we are used to but loved every minute of it! Have you tried fried silk worms?? We did!! And we were surprised at how much we liked them!! Yep!! We really did!!! Just do it! You’ll be happy you did!! Great afternoon!

Enlightening and delicious! - Our guide, Nil, picked us up from our hotel in a tuk tuk, then we were driven to two different night markets and one cafe/shop. We tried and tasted so many different delicious things! Fruits plucked straight of baskets, fried insects, sweets, liqueurs, biscuits, and then a tapas style dinner of savoury pancakes, fish cakes, fried coconut balls, and curried noodle soup. Nil was a fountain of knowledge and we really enjoyed spending time with her and hearing about Khmer food and culture! She was personable, spoke excellent English and her engaging conversation made the tour special. A must-do on your first night in Siem Reap!

Awesome Street Food Tour - Our guide was Nil and she was just amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of tasting many different foods! We were afforded the opportunity to select the foods that we wanted to try in some cases. We really enjoyed that we went to proper street food markets rather than special “tourist” ones. 10/10 would recommend.

A great look into local night life - Our tour guide Nil was wonderful and had us experience an array of local food, the normal eats and then the bugs! So much fun and so chilled. We got to see many locals way of life and Nil also engaged us with a lot of interesting info on every day life in Siem Riep. We definitely went to markets and tried food we wouldn't have normally done on our own so it was awesome doing this with a local guide to show us around. Learned so much! Everyone was so friendly too 😊

Street food tour - Informative, professional, friendly and local! I highly recommend Sok and this company! The World makes sense through the eyes of the locals in the hearts of the people.

GREAT Tour, Exotic Foods - Our tour guide was a remarkable young woman who was able to give us a very detailed explanation and tour of Siem Reap's street market experience. This was a bit of culture shock for us two Westerners, but we thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of fried crickets, grasshoppers and frogs, etc. While we appreciated the exoticness of those foods, the other "mainstream" dishes were not to our liking. This however is a reflection of the food and the market and not at all a commentary on our tour guide. To be honest, the experience was interesting and informative, but the food was not the best we had in SE Asia.

Fun way to see Siem Reap - Took a half day (2-3 hour?) food tour. We intentionally asked NOT to eat the food because of our weak stomachs, but we definitely wanted to see the city, visit an active market, see/smell the food, etc. Sok chiea and Nil did a great job of being friendly, personal and attentive, and even took us off the beaten path a bit. Our tour was via tuk tuk and in the early evening so it was nice being outside. Yes, there was a bug vendor (no tarantulas though - that is a different part of Cambodia), but the tour wasn’t really about “strange” food, rather more about a glimpse into local life. We found it to be a valuable and interesting experience.

Loved the Bugs! - We toured the local market and saw things we would never see in the USA. Our guide Mr. Bun, encouraged us to try various foods. He was very personable and gave a very informative history of Cambodia and why they eat what they do. We tried to pick things we would not normally eat, like bugs. I loved the crickets, grasshoppers, beetles, scorpions and tarantula, It was quite the experience! Then we went to dinner at a small restaurant which was just ok. The restaurant staff was not very friendly and I felt rushed to order. I picked frog which was just a plate of bones with some veggies. Other than that we had a great time and learned some things about Cambodia.

Great start awkward finish - The tour started great we had some interesting dishes from one the local food vendors then had a very interesting and eye opening tour through the local food market and definitely went places we probably would not have on our own as evidenced by the non existent tourists at the market. From there we went across town to another market that was definitely for the locals looking to buying ever day wears....it was at this market that we had a chance to try locally prepared insects, frogs and worms...yummy! It was after we left this market and headed to dinner that things got a bit weird. Our male guide suggested we try a local restaurant where local business men congregate and families to celebrate special occasions. It looked suspicious going in with the waitresses' uniforms looking a bit provocative...the restaurant was obviously a place for ladies of ill repute to connect with business men ( We saw it happening) and or others looking for special company...very uncomfortable for our family. Additionally, the guide invited our two drivers to eat with us which in and by itself is ok except they were drinking beers....which also made us feel uncomfortable. Just a heads up.

Not a food tour a rip off! - Don't go on this tour expecting a food tour or value for money! While our guide was engaging and knowledgeable the tour is basically a tuk tuk ride where they show you food. It ends in a restaurant that is distinctly average eating food that is average and no more than anyone could work out to buy via the internet. A missed opportunity to showcase Khymer streetfood and purely about profit
