Wonderful experience - We did Package 4 which included trying a few craft activities- extracting thread from the stem of the lotus, threading seeds onto a bracelet and making paper with lotus stem pulp.
The highlight was a boat trip to see the lotus growing in the lake - which was beautiful. The boat driver stopped and made us flower bouquets and these very fetching hats 😆
But be warned the tuk tuk ride from the visitor centre to the lake is VERY bumpy and the community who live around the lake are obviously living a very ‘subsistence’ lifestyle…. hopefully they will benefit from the tourist boat trips.
The Lotus farm is a fair trade social enterprise who have provided a trade and income to many women 💜

Lotus farm Seam Reap a must do - It was a wonderful experience and the staff were wonderful. Totally recommend a visit. Very informative and the crafts were a lot of fun. Thank you.

Impressive visit to Lotus Silk Farm Siem Reap - We got an excellent tour of lotus flowers as well as yarn extraction and processing. We got to know a lot of new things in a friendly and captivating way.
On the subsequent boat trip, led by a very friendly and dedicated young man, we were able to see the different stages of lotus flower growth up close. Again and again the young man conjured up new works of art from leaves and flowers for us.
We really enjoyed the hours on the farm and can highly recommend a visit.

Must see tour! - Must do experience. The boat ride was gorgeous, the site is wonderful, the people are so friendly, and all of it supports such a good cause and wonderful products. I'd say after Angkor Wat this is the best tour one could do on their visit.

Culture, ecology and supporting women - I booked same day on their website, for the 2-hour, three workshop option. They were very prompt with their timing, and I was able to join with others on the boat tour component. The tour explanation of the process was insightful and informative, and I learned quite a bit about the various ways. The lotus plant contributes to both the environment and the economy. The fact that this establishment has both an environmental focus and focus on supporting women was a bonus. Everyone was super helpful and answered many questions along the way. My tour was in English, but the one just ahead of me was in French. This was a wonderful activity to do that did not require physical exertion, perfect for a recovery day after trekking or temple hopping.

Fun and interesting! - We spent a really enjoyable afternoon doing the tour + boat trip. During the tour we learned about the life cycle of lotus flowers, the process of extracting fibers from the lotus stems and turning them into threads, and about all the other useful things you can do with part of the flower. During the boat tour we went out to a lotus flower pond, where our guide made all sorts of decorations out of lotus flowers. Finally upon return we got to enjoy some lotus tea and cookies.
The farm is not only fun to visit, but also showcases a very sustainable practice and supports women in providing work. Definitely worth it.

A surprise little gem - This was an unexpected little gem of an experience. The tuk tuk ride was about 25mins from old markets in Siem Reap. We learnt about the creation of the silk fibre from the Lotus stems but the real treat was the trip out to the Lotus farm and boat ride through the fields. There was no hard sell and no begging. Our boat operator created an experience for us we won't forget. Very highly recommended experience

Lovely experience - Despite the rain during our boat trip to see the lotus flowers, the class was impressive, and the souvenirs we made were meaningful. I'll be sure to bring my friends back here.
