The journey includes a stop midway to observe the quarry where stones were cut for temple construction. Additionally, visitors will see the river of a thousand Lingas.
The range extends approximately 40 kilometers and is located about 65 kilometers north of Siem Reap.
The third stop features the reclining Buddhist statues, and finally, the fourth stop is the waterfall, where visitors can marvel at its beauty and enjoy a swim for up to 90 minutes.
The highest point reaches 487 meters (1,598 ft), with an average height of 400 meters (1,300 ft) throughout the range. There will be time allocated for a lunch break.
On the return journey, visitors will witness traditional palm sugar production, making a visit to Kulen Mountain a comprehensive, educational, and delightful experience.
- 1000 Lingas - One Thousand Lingas are carved into the river bedrock, dating back to around 800 AD. A peaceful river walk reveals Lingas of various sizes. The seven-color water emerges from the ground.
- Preah Ang Thom Pagoda - Located near Kulen Mountain and the thousand Lingas, this pagoda is said to house the largest reclining Buddha statue in Cambodia, situated on the hill of Kulen.
- Phnom Kulen Waterfall - The Kulen waterfall is considered holy water from the Shiva god Linga. The man-made river was vital for the local community, supporting rice fields, cooking, and the temple site’s foundation.
- Cambodia Landmine Museum - Before visiting this site, there is an opportunity to spend about an hour observing traditional palm sugar production. The Cambodian Landmine Museum (optional tour pricing available) and Relief Facility is located in Cambodia, south of the Banteay Srey Temple complex, 25 kilometers north of Siem Reap, within the Angkor National Park.
